Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaGreat experience! Very comfortable for my family! Great location...within walking distance to many tourists destinations! Place was stocked with everything we needed! Unfortunately we didn't get a chance to check out their restaurant but we will next time! Thanks Bricco Suites 😊

United KingdomAir co unit was very loud. Not a big problem as it was not too hot outside. In mid-summer I’d imagine it might be different. Cost was high but Boston seems to be expensive.

United KingdomLack of cooking equipment or coffee making facility. It would of been great if we could of made some breakfast or supper and not having to go out for every meal.
Location was great, right in the centre of Boston's "Little Italy". We had two rooms, which was great for our family, very clean and comfortable beds. The Maître D was very helpful carrying up our baggage and looking after us. Nicely laid out with views over the street scene. Hundreds of Italian restaurant to choose from.

United KingdomThe great location means you are in the middle of a bust area surrounded by restaurants so guests will need to be prepared for some noise from music and the street.
The location was great. It was a 5 minute walk from the street food in Quincy Market, the old State House and other significant historical landmarks in the city following the freedom trail. The Suites are located at the top of Hanover Street above the Bricco Restaurant in an area with over 100 Italian Restaurants and bakery's. It was within 5 minutes of the North Church and 2 mins from Paul Revere's House. The Suites were clean, tidy with good WiFi and fridge and the bed was comfy and the air conditioning worked well. It is a great place to stay to explore Boston.

United StatesTo get to your room there are a lot of stairs to walk up to your room. Cat was in the hallway. Where our room was located it was above the bakery so our room smelled like bread.
The location was great.

CanadaWasn’t too quiet at night due to the awesome location. Staff weren’t around during check-out at 7am. Automatic check out service through the television wasn’t working. A bit awkward checking-in through a busy restaurant.
Clean and comfortable Excellent location right in Little Italy. So many restaurants and bakeries right outside.

Ample room, big and comfy bed. A small sink, fridge and some cutlery, very useful for a short stay. Clean the room on demand, efficient and nice. Left bottles of water. No noise.

United StatesWe were on fourth floor. Stairs only, but was not an issue with us. The AC unit worked well but was rather loud.
Perfect location: coffee shop across the street, lots of great restaurants in the vicinity, on the freedom trail-so can stop midday in your room. Room is in a back house of Bricco restaurant. No street noise although it was a very lively Saturday evening. Check in wax not an issue: we just went into the restaurant-leaving luggage at door with the doorman- and d the hostess who immediately brought us to the room. checkout was easy: there was a box to drop the room keys in. We leaving we just walked to T station at aquarium-15 minutes with luggage walk- and went to airport. There is a free shuttle from T to the terminals. Unless you arrive dry late no reason to take taxi or Uber.

United StatesThe only complaint was that the AC did not seem to be working correctly. It was not as cool in the room at night as we would have preferred. A small complaint that can be overlooked by location & cleanliness of the room!
The room location is amazing. The staff was friendly & we enjoyed getting drinks at Bricco each day & ate at several of the restaurants. Room was clean. Would absolutely stay here again.

United StatesIf you have any concerns with climbing winding stairs, then this is not the venue for you. (The stairs reminded us of historic buildings in Amsterdam.) Our host took our luggage up, so this wasn't an issue.
Our room was comfortable, spacious, and clean. The suite of rooms we were in was at the rear of a quaint brick lined passageway off Hanover Street. This entry opened up to a courtyard which featured a fresh pasta shop, Italian grocery/deli and an Italian bakery. There was outdoor patio seating to sit and enjoy coffee and pastry. Very old world and delightful.
