Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

HungaryWe stayed here in 4 different rooms as we returned here 3 times within a trip. Once we were woken up by maintenance drilling on 9th floor city view room so I asked for a higher floor room. 15th floor is already calm , no noise from the street , but the hostel next to the hotel is still noisy. Earplugs can help in sleeping. Don’t accept room on 9th floor overlooking the pool . There is a strange and huge noise coming from within the hotel (airco, ventilation , etc I don’t know ) it’s loud like hell and repeats ever 10 seconds ! Our experience from room 914. 15th floor and 18th floor city view room is much better . Double queen rooms are not really proper for 4 adults , not even 2 adults, 2 kids, beds are too little :/ but still ok if your child is calm :) room is too small to accommodate 3 big suitcases but you don’t have shelves to place your clothes on them either . Max pax is 2 , I think . Price is great if you go 4 persons but in fact it is not comfortable for 4 persons :)
Location is good , price is quite good. Atmosphere of the 60ies is great . The Deck view and food is great! Don’t forget to prebook it is always crowded.

United StatesI didn't realize it was a dog hotel. If we had known we wouldn't have booked simply because my son has allergies. However, our room and the hotel was totally clean. I never would've imagined that dogs had stayed there. Also there is a hostel with a roof top bar on one side of the hotel that is VERY noisy at night. Luckily we always travel with earplugs. The poolside bar and restaurant is very beautiful and nice to visit, but we didn't have a great food experience.
Loved the location. It was within easy walking distance to the beach, even if you are carrying chairs and boogie boards, which the hotel furnished as well as beach towels. And there are two ABC convenience stores close by in case you need anything. We literally walked up from the beach to grab some snorkels really fast while our teen kids were still hanging at the beach. This hotel has GREAT amenities and is beautiful.

United KingdomThe property had the surfing theme as well as the historic theme to it.
I liked the Quirky feel and look of it as against large commercial hotels in area.

United KingdomWaiting for the lift!! The tour desk adds a high supplement to surf/ SUP lessons, you are better to book direct with Obama Surf project.
We loved our stay here, great place for family! The restaurant does a good breakfast. The complimentary yoga class was really enjoyable. Our room was excellent, we had great views of diamond head, it was spacious and very comfortable. The free extras were a nice touch! Easy walk to the beach, bus stop and zoo!

United States$50 charge for parking and there was no parking available …we were tired upon arrival and wanted to use check in as quick as possible and web were sent to another parking lot that was also full. We had to be driving around looking for a parking lot that had some parking available. Once we found one, we had to walk back to the hotel, which was annoying because it was past 9pm. Our room was in the M floor (our window was directly in front of restaurant or hotel deck adjacent to our hotel and it was very noise). We were all tired and wanted to rest but the parking situation and the noise level at our room were very annoying and I was not happy about that.
The rooms were clean, we were received with a leí at registration, that was a nice gesture. The kids loved it! The hotel is within walking distance of the beach and many restaurants, which was very convenient.

JapanNothing that I can think of now. The hotel is the end of Waikiki beach so if you go shopping it's gonna be 15-20min walk. You'll need Uber to go to Ala Moana. Better to plan ahead considering that.
I like cleanness of the room and shower! The shower was the best in US so far! You can get enough hot water quickly. I also like the location. It was close to Diamond Head and I could see it from the window.

CanadaThe one time we tried using the valet service ($50 a night) it was full. Was directed to the zoo parking lot across the street, worked out as it was cheaper, but can be difficult to find a parking spot in peak times. Most parking options in the area are either expensive or inconveniet, valet staff were very apologetic, not a big deal, but something to be aware of.
Fantastic location, on edge of main tourist area. Great views of diamond head and ocean. Easy access to beach, shops, restaurants. ~15-20 minutes walk to Safeway, snorkel bobs, Leonards bakery and Rainbow drive-in.

ItalyThe balcony's door was not thick enough so we could hear some noise from the outside.
The location is great, at the very end of Waikiki so a bit less crowdy than the central part and within 2 minutes from the beach . The view from the room on Diamond Head was excellent.

CanadaPool is rather small and not appealing. Beach is close, but it's not the one we wanted to spend most of the time on. Rooms with city view also face hostel and it's noisy in the evenings.
Nice relaxed atmosphere , helpful staff. Good coffee, good facilities and a lot of places on 1st and 2nd floor to spend time with friends. Beds are comfy.
