Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaAfter paying almost$50 US resort, it was nickel and dime action to be asked $2 per bag for storage on checkout before departure time . Not enough information about what was available, eg beach chairs and towels 🤔 There were lots of dogs in the hotel but no indication that certain rooms were kept pet free , or pet friendly . First hotel in many years where there was no in room coffee maker.
Location . Staff quickly responsive if there was an issue, eg window blind broke.

AustraliaThere are only 2 ice machines both down in the lobby it would be great to have them spread out between the floors. In the evenings, when everybody is coming back to their rooms, there can be a long wait for the lifts.
Rooms are neat and spacious. Housekeeping and staff are super friendly and accommodating. Great location off the main street, but still a close enough walk everywhere and amazing views of Diamond Head from the pool deck!

United StatesRefrigerator was not working, didn't keep items cold. The rooms were basically clean, but the "little" things need attention. Corners and crevices not vacuumed, lots of dirt, hair, debris. Filty baseboards with dust and grime build up. Need to be cleaned. Filthy outlet and light switch covers, again, long term build up of dirt and dust, grime is obvious. Cleaning of a room should include wiping these areas down. Nice big beautiful window, but very dirty. Needs cleaned. These aren't things that need to be cleaned every single day, but clearly aren't being cleaned at all. Also appears to be mold or mildew on the ceiling in front of the bathroom...looks like it was painted over to cover it up. Staff was excellent in addressing the refrigerator issue and had maintenance immediately to our room, but it still didn't keep food cold. definately a problem, not keeping food at appropriate temperatures is a health concern. Every single staff member from front desk, bar tenders, maintenance, was fantastic in every aspect. Completely disappointed with the Dole Whip that you advertise, "Upon arrival welcomed with dole whip" bahaha !!! So laughable. You should be ashamed. Half tablespoon ! Why bother. You should not advertise this. And the dole whip shop was dirty, dingy, just completely drags down your whole facility. Why would you have something so trashy in your facility. The hotel lobby is beautiful and welcoming. But the couches need cleaned. Nasty stains.
Excellent service from staff

New ZealandI loved how close it was to the beach, and also most of Waikiki a short walk away. The room had space for our luggage without it being too cramped. The gym was great, lots of space and good range of equipment. The staff were friendly, especially those who were at the luggage storage/towel area. Every day we went to get our towels and chairs they were always enthusiastic and helpful

United StatesParking is limited around the property and to safety park around the property, you have to take advantage of the $50/day valet parking. Don’t get me wrong it is efficient, but just like everything else in Hawaii, it is expensive. Love the hotel, just getting old and looking for a better value for my hard earned dollar.
Beautiful, especially our room looking at both Diamond Head and Waikiki Beach. Food was delicious, and my wife took a Lei making class. Staff was very helpful.

United StatesOur room (2 queen beds) was pretty small , considering the price (over $300/night). Pool is also small and I felt the area around it could use some sprucing up. Our 17th floor balcony was also small and loud due to a/c units running out there. The WiFi wasn’t great either, seemed to be hit and miss for me. These are minor quibbles, overall the hotel is very pleasant and I recommend it to anyone!
Great location! Across the street from beach and close to so many restaurants and shopping. The staff was uniformly awesome, very friendly and helpful. Our room had a view of the ocean and Diamond Head, as promised. Bed was great! We enjoyed the Deck restaurant, too. Nice to have that on the 3rd floor. The hotel has lot of great amenities like a 2nd floor fitness center and guest lounge, and a coffee shop in the lobby. I really enjoyed our stay at QK!

AustraliaThe lifts were often very slow and crowded and one was completely out of action. Had to factor in a wait to ensure I got to meetings on time. Art in room rather kitsch but perhaps in keeping with tourist memorabilia which is displayed throughout the hotel. Mini fridge rather noisy at night
The room on eighth floor had fine views over Diamond Head and ocean, had opening windows, a nice lanai, a comfy King Bed and a good bathroom and minikitchen. Especially appreciated cleanliness and courteous room service. Pool was OK and ocean only a short walk away, Close to ABC stores and Starbucks and a major shopping strip but opposite the Honolulu Zoo and a park. I did not eat in the hotel but shared some Mai Tais at the Deck bar which has great views. Excellent assistance from reception and concierge staff.
