Nice, quiet location close to campus and downtown. Everything was blooming.

    It was all fine.

We walked downtown and had breakfast at two old haunts, Joe's Diner and Gillies. After two mornings we were back in shape with southern food - grits, etc.

Great breakfast options and multiple options for service to include dine in our room. Staff was responsive to texted questions. Accommodated for family pet which was the primary reason I booked here.

Another luggage rack would be good.

Loved the location, it was spotless. We felt we had our privacy and there was plenty of room for the two of us. The breakfast was perfect for my daughter and I. If she goes to VT I would definitely stay there again or rent out the whole thing for the family.

The property is very clean, quaint, but elegant, extremely comfortable, as well as comforting, and very homey feeling.

Breakfast was very average. Toilet paper was like sandpaper. Costco has a Kirkland brand that is much better.

Room and bed were comfortable with all the amenities you could want.

I honestly can think of anything.

This is my go to place to stay when visiting VT! I love that it is easy to get in and out of the room with parking right in front of the room. Very walkable to campus downtown and shopping nearby. Beds are very comfortable. Rooms each have their own unique decor and are very clean. A full kitchen is available for home made meals or a place to eat takeout. Josh is only a text away and very responsive if I have a question or need anything Most of all I feel at home at the Clay Corner Inn!

Everything exceeded our expectations! Thanks for a great stay. We will be back soon! And thanks for being flexible to let us sign up for breakfast last minute!

The location can't be beat - walkable, and easy driving to and from. I didn't realize how large the space was and the shared common areas in the Dogwood house were lovely and useful! We hadn't booked with the breakfast because we didn't know our schedule in advance. They texted us instructions for accessing our building and also let us know we could sign up for breakfast last minute no problem - and it was just $20 for the three of us. Delicious breakfast, excellent coffee, service was wonderful, and a super cute dining room with a fireplace running! We had a wonderful time here and it really made our time in Blacksburg feel like coming home.

The "go-to" place to stay when visiting Blacksburg.

The street noise was a little loud at night, but we were in a prime location where there was a lot of traffic so it was to be expected. No "partying" noise, just a lot of traffic.

The location was perfect. Just a few blocks from the VT campus and a few blocks from downtown Blacksburg. Easy to get to restaurants and campus and just a few steps from the Huckleberry Trail (a really nice walking trail). The staff went above and beyond for us and really made our stay very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, made to order and served at a time we specified the night before. The best part was the ease of communicating with staff -- everything was text and they were so responsive. Will definitely be staying here whenever we visit Blacksburg.

Everything was great! but to note, I arrived late at night and the rooms and parking can be difficult to locate. They had someone available by phone so I was able to call them and they gave me directions.

Excellent boutique inn, luxurious rooms, very clean, with personal touches including delicious breakfast brought to the room and truffles on the bed at check in. Will definitely stay again.

    I loved it all.

I loved everything. I always do when I stay at the Inn. Josh, the owner, is so responsive and helpful throughout the entire duration of the stay and leading up to my stay, all of the rooms are extremely clean and well decorated, everything I need to be comfortable is always in the room, the truffle chocolates don't hurt either! I always feel like I'm at my home away from home when I stay at the Inn. It's the reason I choose the Inn over every other place to stay in Blacksburg when I come to visit my son at VT. I will truly miss this place after he graduates in May 2024. We will still come back for games and will plan to stay at the Inn. There is truly no place like it.

    The decor is somewhat dated.

Comfortable and homey. Not like a hotel. Communication with the owner was excellent. Parking was adjacent to the property. The optional breakfast was delicious and a great price.
