How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Key card didn’t work, had to go back down to the desk 3 separate times, 6 new cards later I told the guy working the card reader isn’t not working. He finally came up and changed batteries in it

Breakfast was disappointing. No meat, canned fruit it all looked on the cheap. When the cost is higher so are the expectations.

I was told by front desk that I was prepayed with booking.com. which is not true. I put a hold with a credit card and was to pay at the hotel. During check-in I was asked for a credit card, which I thought was a hold but they charged the full amount. I always pay at the hotel and always able to split with who I was with at check-out. Even booking.com confirmation I have states you pay at the hotel. I believe the front desk clerk at check-in was at fault.
Always like staying here since it's connected to the casino and venue for the show we attend.

Rude man at front desk during check in. He gave me no information and when I asked what the hours for breakfast he told me it was written on a small paper inside the key holder.

The hair dryer was missing from our room but the desk person brought one right up! She was great. I goofed when I booked and got a bigger room than we needed and it was expensive. I think that was because you were filled up. The pool was great size and depth but the bottom was dirty. I wish there was a USB plug-in for my phone in the room. I found one in the breakfast room that I could use. The plug ins by the bathroom did not work so I had to dry my hair and plug in my hearing aids in the other part of the room. The shower head didn't focus on just one area and spilled over on my hair.
David wished there was bacon. Eggs were good. Waffles were fine. I appreciated the fruit. I found the real plates and bowls the second day. I knew this hotel brand used to have them and I really like that. Oatmeal was made and yogurt was out so that reduced packaging and I liked that. I hate when plastic is around silverware or anything. We must try to stop using plastic bags and plastic of any kind. Great berry jellies to put on the waffles! Stop using the plastic containers for syrup!!

Parking! Getting a spot close to the hotel was almost impossible. Also, the parking lot is lit up enough to see from space (great for security btw) so quite a bit of light comes in over the curtains no matter what you do.
Great location! I enjoyed the attached access to the casino. Staff was friendly and the breakfast was good. They also have dedicated adult pool hours which is AWESOME.

There were no vending machines to get snacks such as water, pop, chips, peanuts, candy. The bathroom is very small. Had a hard time controlling the heat with the thermostat
It was conveniently connected to the Diamond Joe Casino. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was very good. It was reasonably priced.

While all rooms are now non smoking, at one time did have a smoking floor, when we opened the door, the old smoke smell bowled us over, when went to desk the clerk, got another room immediately. It was great. The customer service was great with no attitude.
