After a long drive we finally arrived to our rental at 1am only to find out that the code they sent us to unlock the Airbnb was invalid and we were locked out. after many calls and about 15 min of waiting outside we were finally able to get ahold of someone to let us in, other than that the place was great but they never once offered any sort of discount or at least free parking for the inconvenience!

We arrived earlier than expected and I reached out to the host to see if we could check-in at 2:30 rather than 4 p.m. She said this wouldn't be possible without paying a $60 early check-in fee. I then asked if we could just drop-off our bags and head out on the town and she said early bag-drop wasn't possible, either. It's not as though the unit was being cleaned and prepared. She said the reason for the early check-in fee was due to the a/c turning on once the unit is accessed. I'm not sure an hour-and-a-half constitutes $60 of air conditioning, but okay. Mind you, we were already paying nearly $2K for four nights. The lack of flexibility was an annoyance, but we still overall enjoyed the place. The second issue, and I realize others have mentioned it, is not being able to control the thermostat. The temperature was just very cold, and we often had to use the space heater to keep the room at a good temperature balance.

The unit was in an excellent location near Boystown on a lovely street. It came with some nice amenities, including a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, fan, and space heater. There were also two closets and a lot of space for clothing and placing your things. It was overall very clean in there. It was easy to access and the host was communicative.

Was not aware that this was a basement apartment. There was a family with a very young child , so there was lots of early morning running and also conversations coming through the ceiling vents that woke me up. Also, we arrived an hour and 15 minutes early and were charged a $50 early check in fee. Lastly, no instructions of how to get in which forced us to reach out to the owner. This also created tension.

The place itself was very comfortable, very clean and very close to Wrigley Field which was our destination. The street is lovely and accept for 10 to 11pm very quiet. Lots of people coming and going and loud in the streets.

"Garden Unit" is actually the basement with no windows as shown in the pictures. So make sure you know what you are paying for to accurately choose this unit. No easy parking options.

The price was right. For what you get, that is all that matters. The unit is as mostly as advertised. It is a basement unit with no easy parking.

Parking is difficult and expensive! The property is announced as a 3 bedroom apartment but it's actually a 2 bedroom. There was a third bed in the living room.

One of the beds was more comfy than the other but it was still good! The upstairs apartment had someone walking around most of the night that we could hear but no fault to the owners or apartment itself!

Everything was clean, we were able to get earlier as requested!

No free parking, no outside deck as we received the basement unit, heat didn't get turned on til later in evening but most importantly a tenant above us had a party going with company in and out all night and I was unable to reach the apartment owner or get any response regarding the disturbance even though the rules state quiet time from 10pm -7am. My kids were kept awake til 345am when we finally decided to just leave early and skip our intended destination for the next afternoon since Noone was able to get any rest to enjoy any activities the following day so the entire purpose of the room to get some rest before a fulfilled day then a 4hr trip home turned into an exhausting trip home at 4am with absolutely zero sleep

The key code was emailed to me. Once arrived the key code did not work for neither door. I called, texted and emailed but no answer. When a neighbor came out em I was able to get into the first door. Get down to the basement the code is not working. So happened the door was not locked. Such a horrible place and very unsafe because once you leave out the doors can o my be locked from the inside. Would not recommend this property.

Garden unit equals basement. No possible egress for fire other than entrance stairs No handrail down steep stairs. Floor level change of 4 inches at bathroom threshold. Lowered Chase at ceiling provides headache near bathroom entrance. we never saw anything like the photo in the ad. A deck was mentioned and there was no deck.

The location was great. The place was clean. The beds were fine.
