Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe breakfast hours were later than our party could participate in breakfast. The king bed in the 3rd front suite needs some attention. One side (closest to the bathroom) is not supported properly.
Andy at the front desk is fabulous. She is full of information in adventures as well as the history of the house and New Orleans. The location was excellent. 1 block from cable cars in between the Garden District and French Quarters. Food nearby & a drug store. The main house was nice. The parking is a lot right next door, which makes it easy. The lot is light up at night with a security camera.

United StatesWhat we didn’t like about the property was… NOTHING AT ALL… A Perfect, personable, NOLA Getaway! BTW… the breakfast was worth waking up for after a hard night of Partying… (Thaxx Ms. Anne & Keith❤️) L. Diane & Michael Turner
What I love about the property was its historic value. Our guest house was like stepping back into time. The grounds & landscaping, the furniture, the architect here was very authentic. The colors were so rich & classic on the property that words cannot describe it. The experience was just so enjoyable. This experience for us spoke to our soul & spirit.

United StatesThe property had that New Orleans charm. The first night we arrived our room was unbearably hot due to the A/C not seeming to work properly and the fan not turning on but Keith at the front desk was super nice and gave us a better room the next morning.

AustraliaThe window mounted aircon was a bit noisy but did keep the room cool and comfortable.
We stayed here back in late May. The staff were fantastic, friendly and welcoming. Annie was lovely greeting us each morning for breakfast. The location is great, easy walking distance to the gardens district, WWII museum, restaurants, cafes and not far to the French Quarter either. Free carparking is also a welcome addition. This guesthouse has a wonderful New Orleans feel and felt like being part of a family during our stay. We would stay here again :)

United StatesBreakfast was lacking in choices but the mini egg quiche was really good. The AC was struggling to keep the living area of the suite cool and the gap in the door to the balcony should be fixed as to not let so much heat inside.
Staff was super friendly and talkative. Property was nice and inviting. free parking lot was safe and a bonus.

SpainI would say that the price was a little bit high in comparison with the type of rooms and location. We are a couple and the bed was good but the bathroom was really small and I wish the room would have had a mini fridge.
The personal is amazing and you can feel part of the local community as they explain you a lot about the history and importance of Louisiana culture. You feel like home!

United StatesThe curtains didn't keep out the light as well as I would have liked them to, but still the bed was comfy. The stairs were a lot, so if you do have mobility issues, I would recommend booking a room on the first floor, as the mansion does not have an elevator. (Not an issue for us, but could be for someone that does have mobility issues.)
The place is super pet-friendly and accepted my rottweiler and cocker spaniel! The staff and light breakfast was great and the extra private entrance to the mansion when staying in the penthouse was great! Lots of places close by to walk dogs and they have coffee, tea and cold/hot water and ice available throughout the day in the kitchen, which was super helpful to stay hydrated after long days of exploring. Super close to a St. Charles streetcar stop and the 11 bus stop. The A/C also works super well and the shower/bath tub combo in the penthouse was amazing. The penthouse is great for a family stay and is a very large room.

United StatesEverything was just fine for us..if you're a picky person you can always find something wrong anywhere you go.
We have always stayed here when coming to New Orleans. It has a beautifull, relaxing courtyard, available parking, and the location is great. Who wants to drive all over after traveling for hours..just park your car and use the trolley or bus a trolley stop is right around the corner on Saint Charles.

United KingdomOur room tv didn’t work and sometimes the electric fuses jumped, but that was not a biggie at all. No tv meant we could sleep before we could go out to party again :)
We loved everything! The minute we walked into the hotel, we we’re greeted by the biggest smile ever (Olga). Instantly we felt at home, and the other staff Annie at Reception, Annie for breakfast and our resident DJ, the other chef who made the best jambalaya, they all were so welcoming and friendly. We are terrible with names but we will never forget the hospitality and generosity of everyone. The location is perfect too, away from the noisy streets, but a welcome peaceful retreat after dancing the night away and eating our way through NOLA. We stayed for over 12 days, and we have now decided to come back to NOLA and this will be our home again.

United StatesThe location was still recovering from the hit tourism took due to COVID-19, so there was some rundown elements - like the shower not working at first. But the management was quick to fix any issues, the place was extremely clean, plus the historical and whimsical charm and hospitality of the location outweighed everything else.
The hospitality was amazing. It was like visiting your favorite family member! Eating breakfast every morning talking to Annie and hearing about what the locals love was fabulous. Having an internal courtyard that was gated meant the kids could run around and stay safe! Also, nothing compares to the charm of this historical property that withstood Katrina and the close proximity to the St. Charles streetcar!
