Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesServices provided by the hotel staff are poor. We stayed for 6 nights and it took 2 nights to fix the non working Direct TV satellite service. The hotel manager named Charlie came to our room and stayed and called Direct TV to reboot the satellite. He was in our room for 30 minutes. This should be done while the guest is not at the room. While he was there, I also told him that the shower curtain in the bathroom won't stay covered so water is all over the bathroom floor after one takes a shower. He said since it was a holiday (Memorial Day), the hotel's maintenance crew are out. He said maintenance will fix it promptly the next day but it was never fixed. Also I have to constantly ask for new towels because housekeeping took the soiled towels but never replaced them with clean ones. Also out of the 7 days / 6 nights stay, 3 days they also forgot to refill the shampoo and soap. I had to go down and get it from the front desk. My bottomline opinion is: this hotel's operation is like that of a cheap motel. Definitely very surprised for this facility to carry the Day's Inn by Wyndham name and reputation.
Very accessible to the NJ Transit and private buses to NYC.

CanadaThe juice station was down for our whole stay. We requested for an extra bed and were notified that we would have it. When asked, they wanted to upsell us to a bigger room. The key cards would need to be reset every day. The bathtub faucet would leak every time we start the water.

My kids liked the room, and that made me like it. Their comment was 'Wow, I love this room, you can't even tell the rooms are this nice when at the reception.'

United StatesThe breakfasts could be improved and varied. Hot coffee and tea must be provided with breakfast by the management. Room coffeemaker is not ideal for breakfast especially as one requires milk, cream and sugar in abundance compared to the slim sachets in the room that are good for in between snacks and elevenses/ teatime. The cleaning staff should NOT take away items from the room that are not in the dustbins. One of my bags was cleared in the garbage by the staff and that contained items of value. I should be compensated for that. The wi-fi wasn't on much of the time. High speed would be liked.
Our room was a decent size with all the amenities indicated at time of booking. We used the standard items and gadgets. Location was easy and accessible with excellent bus connections.

United StatesDespite being non-smoking, everything smelled tinged cigarettes & marijuana. And we saw a guy walking around with a cigarette. It's pretty far from the bus stop and the walk is less than scenic. Pillows weren't comfy and it was a little cold. But all that said, it was 100% worth it
Sooo cheap, walk to the bus (a bit of the way) to get into NYC), lots of space for a pack & play in the room, they let us stay parked there after checkout the next day so we could go into the city again before we left.

United StatesA group of people talking and laughing really loud in front of my door at 4:00am that was so annoying i had to get out of bed to tell them to keep it down and be a litlle more respectful and also talk about the complimentary breakfast... that was a joke! Seriously, for the price people are paying for the rooms, you should provide more than cold bagel and orange juice. They hand out lunch bags with cold hard bagel, warm orange juice, and a snack bar.. like come on, that is just sad! I paid $40 less at the Hyatt and they had a full buffet style complimentary breakfast. So come on, this hotel needs to step it up.
The area around the hotel was ok.. I mean, there isn't much around but the price you pay to be closer to NY is not bad at all. The beds are so comfortable, the room had a nice electric fireplace (not a heater) really cozy feeling after a long walk around NY city.

BrazilNothing, just smal issues like coffee machine and heater(fixed), besides this, everything fine. Breakfast is simple but ok.
Very good location, with easy bus access to Manhattan (15 minutes) . Only issue during my stay is the coffee machine of the room that doesn't work and the heater had an issue, but it was fixed.

United Stateslocation was convenient if a little difficult to access by car if you're not familiar with the area. short walk to NYC transit, which is less expensive than hotel shuttle to NYC (shuttle $10 each way per person booked in advance, NJ transit buses only $3.75 each way)
good location, good if you're comfortable with driving or walking in urban environments. clean, comfortable, large screen tv in room with direcTV. tvs also support airplay- make sure to turn it off in Samsung TV settings if you don't want your room neighbors trying to connect to your tv by mistake for 20 minutes straight though. has a tv guide, nice as most hotels don't have this
