Even though I loved the mountain rustic vibe of everything, some things you can’t let slide, like the bathroom door wouldn’t close so the other guests in your room can see you poop lol. Wasn’t a big deal though. Everything else made up for it. But yeah, they should fix that bathroom door.

The best welcome desk woman. So sweet and welcoming. The grounds are old school camping/cabin/motel, completely enveloped in tall trees so felt like you were right in the middle of the woods instead of a concrete slab most of these kinds of places are like. Lovely nostalgic vibe to it. The river right next to it is great to swim in.

The beds could use a mattress pad or replacing, in my opinion. They were pretty firm, and I woke up with a sore back. The handle on the sink (the old kind you pull forward to turn on and adjust the temp) needed a deep cleaning.

It had a cozy feeling and was very spacious. My kids loved the cats that live on site near the parking lot (pets).

This is not a resort. It is a motel room. The pool isn’t open. I think a high charge for what you get.

Close to the redwoods and Shelter Cove. They do provide refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. The bed was comfortable.

It wasn't super clean and there were a lot of bugs in the room. The bathroom had a sliding door that was missing a handle so it was hard to open/close it. The wifi was not reliable and you can only log in with one device per person.

Very friendly staff with helpful recommendations. There's a river nearby that was very nice to spend a little bit of time before we had to leave in the morning. The TV in the room was pretty decent

The cabins are EXTREMELY SMALL. We had a family of 5 and no rooms or cabins can accommodate 5 so we booked a cabin for the 3 girls and a room for mom and dad thinking the kids will have a nice hang out space in the cabin. It was barely more than a bed and a small corner for the kitchen (which they didn't need to use anyway but if you are staying here with the intent to cook your own food be aware the kitchen is about a 3 or 4 foot area of the cabin. It is supposed to sleep 3. A queen bed and a futon. The futon is absolutely not a functional item. No human being should have to sleep on it. It was painful to lay on. And I dont mean like after sleeping on it all night your back hurt. I mean laying down on it will cause you pain it is so hard and uncomfortable. Luckily we had a dog bed and extra pillows we had traveled with that we put on it to give it some cushion but our poor daughter literally slept on a dog bed because it was better than the futon. This place has seen better days to be honest. Every set of blinds had multiple broken slats so at night with the lights on you could partially see in. The motel area is very loud in the mornings and the motel room walls must be made of paper so if you are not an early riser you will be here. Although the 10pm to 8am quiet time seemed to be respected for the most part. More like 7am though. We were excited about the arcade and putt putt golf but again, very aged and not the best condition. Some of the games were out of service and I think 3 out of the 6 or 7 were duplicates so there is not much going on there. We were also excited about the river access and some swimming holes but that area of the river is more of a murky stream with a lot of algae and slippery rocks so there was no swimming.

The best part of this place is the staff. Everyone was so friendly, nice and accommodating. If this review was staff alone it would be 10/10. The pool area was nice and the hot tub is huge and comfortable. There was a sauna I didn't try but my family enjoyed. The motel room was clean and surprisingly spacious compared to the cabin. The kids ended up hanging in the room with us in the evenings because there was space for them to sit and watch movies in the arm chairs. There is a small store on site for snacks and drinks and small items and it was nice to have close by although there is a grocery store about 5 minutes away if you need something they don't have. Location is very convenient to the Redwoods area and Avenue of the Giants as well as Shelter Cove. Overall I really hope the owners are able to invest in some serious improvement projects or I fear this place will slowly fall into further decline and I absolutely hate to see that happen to unique mom and pop places like this. If it was the only option in the area I would certainly go back but knowing there are other options I would explore those first before staying here again. If I did stay again I would definitely have gotten 2 rooms instead of 1 room and 1 cabin. The cabin was a no for me.

The permanent tenants were nice and friendly, however it should be a requirement for them to keep their areas clean and not cluttered. Just a personal opinion, it made that side of the resort look a little more like a trailer park.

I really enjoyed how accommodating the front desk staff were along with the arcade section for kids, the hanging lights around the redwoods, and the river access points.

Pleasant inn in a good spot but aged a little and a bit noisy on site.

The furnishings have aged a bit. The free WiFi consisted of a couple of vouchers which were ok for doing a few things online but too little data for streaming. The place was noisy. Other guest were in party mode on their patios next door, my room had a wall to the laundry room and guests were not observing the time restrictions for operating the tumble drier. Someone started to play a drum kit late at night. Currently, prices in the US for overnight stays bear no relationship to what you get.

The inn is in an idyllic spot not far from the Avenue of Giants. I liked the pool and because it is also a resort for campers there were other useful facilities like a little shop and a laundrette. The lady at reception was very friendly. I occupied a room for one night, it was generous in size and had a little patio at the back to sit outside.
