Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesWe had a problem with the sofa bed. It was broken and that made it almost impossible to sleep on. More detailed instructions needed for AC in both areas. The bathroom needs a heater in there. We had to request a portable.
The bathroom was awesome! Loved the deep tub! The queen beds were okay but felt springs through the mattress.

United KingdomGreat place to stay and explore the area. Everyone was really helpful and friendly. They gave us lots of recommendations for places to eat including the best hamburgers in Bandera at a gas station and the OST for breakfast. We also tried the Bandera Brewery on their suggestion which had great live music too. We played putt putt, table tennis and had a really comfortable 2 bed villa. Would definitely recommend.

United StatesThe iron fence railing around the pool posts were all rusted through at the ground contact making it an easy thing to lean against and the entire fence railing would fall over. Could be a liability issue Flying L might want to repair. Also the pool rafters demonstrate that the roofers used nails causing water leakage and severe decay damage. Very nice pool though. Kid swam for about two hours during the eclipse start.
Breakfast was good. The room atmosphere was very country and enjoyable. Staff super courteous and kind.

United StatesWe have stayed in Villa #41 3 times and each time the bed has been horrible, the mattress was probably the most uncomfortable that I have ever layed on in all my years of travel . Did not sleep hardly any in the nights there and the 2 times before .
Liked the location, the peacefulness, wildlife !!

United StatesThe beds were just very uncomfortable. Felt like the frame was going to break in half when you sat on the middle. The pillows were old. The one I used felt like it has been washed and was clumpy, and ended up with a crick in my neck. The floors need a serious cleaning and the grout resealed. Grout is not supposed to be black especially when you can look at the exterior grout in the room and it is way lighter. The bathroom floor was disgusting and had a thick sticky film on top. Wear shoes at all times. The pull out couch bed was very, very thin and the plastic mattress cover was filthy and there was a silver fish insect running around on it. We had to use several cleaning wipes to get all the dirt off and even then it was unusable. They should really consider better training for the cleaning crew. Additionally, the inside of the Branding Iron Grill was just small and not very inviting.
The saltwater pool was a nice size and the water clean despite the concrete looking like it needed some serious maintenance. The receptionists were great and very nice. The playgrounds and putt putt were awesome! Overall a cool concept for a resort but it needs a serious facelift. We had dinner there at the Branding Iron Grill and the food was great. Our waitress was nice but not very attentive. The sweet little guy bringing out the food was working much harder than our waitress was.

GermanyThe cabin is very small, I felt that the price was high for what was offered. It was dark in the cabin, the only way to get light in was to open the front door but it was cold when we were there, also wouldn't want anything crawling in. Also the view from or cabin was more than disappointing, we looked straight out to the water system or septic tanks... Don't know what the were. A toaster in the room should have made a difference for breakfast.
The area is beautiful. The entertainment in the evening is wonderful. The food in the restaurant is delicious. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. The cabin was clean. My kids enjoyed the stay, played pickle ball, basketball etc.

United StatesThe river was almost completely dry due to current Drout conditions. We had to manually lift the handle after flushing the commode in our room in order for the clapper to close and the tank to refill. No coasters to set drinks on while in room.
Enjoyed the miniature golf, playground, cornhole, ping-pong, wagon ride, some-mores, and pickle ball.

United StatesBecause we went in November, the restaurant was closed on evening and on monday. In the Apache Cabine, you don't have a little kitchen, with some bowls and other furniture to have dinner in your room. No light near the bed. We were so cold in the Apache Cabine, so we had changed for an appartment. It was easier but less "Ranch Theme". The Apache Cabine weren't located in a "natural" environnment (no view on trees, but view on big tanks).
The women at the desk helped us so much when we had changed for an another room. The wagon ride is so cool. The appartment for 6 is cool.
