You can hear the music from the nightclub in the rooms. Took a little minute to fall asleep but never woke me up.

It's right in the centre of town, very easy to walk everywhere or use the free tram service. It's directly across from a beautiful canal. The bar and garden is lovely and exactly as the photos show. The pool was nice and warm. The place has heaps of these adorable little lizards. I really enjoyed hanging in the pool with a beer watching the lizards doing their dance. The staff were able to give us good recommendations for food nearby. The beach is a stone's throw away.

The meals and drinks offered at pool/backyard area were too expensive in comparison with the quality of the food specially.

Room was perfectly clean, beds are separated by a partial "walls" that give you more privacy and better sleep confort if someone turns on the lights. In general the room was the best of my experience. Also the pool and backyard are pretty cool

Room really wasn’t very clean, floor did not seem like it had been swept. We had a maintenance man fixing something directly outside of our room and it was very loud for the entire duration of our stay.

It was hard to the staff to see what they need to clean, it's OK, I understand in a hostel, but that's why I think they should clean deaper in the bathroom. In the shower they never cleaned up for example the hair the sand.

The place is amazing, I been to freehand multiple time and I always have a good time. But this time around there was something I noticed different that really killed the vibe. The music choice, really killed the vibe of the place from the early morning at the pool side/ backyard to late afternoon (Im not talking during the happy hour because that would be ok) They play these American hip hop…hardcore that had a lot of profanity, really bad. I’m a young guy and I’m not ok with that imagine older people that is trying to relax with their family. I mentioned to the receptionist, she was very kind but she had no power on that matter. So yes freehand, please be better with your music choice because that was really bad, I had to sit by the pool with my headphones on.

Freehand is amazing, I love the energy. Very rustic, fun, clear, really good overall. I’ve stayed here multiple times.

Wifi doesn’t work on the rooms. You can’t even use WhatsApp there. The pool needs some maintenance.

housekeeping wasn’t great, they don’t give bath mats so the floors are always slippery and wet, they didn’t fill the soap dispenser/replace toilet paper, mop, or change towels. I stayed for 8 nights and the sheets were not changed (blankets which would not be washed between guests as well). I also had to move rooms halfway into my stay due to refurbishments- this should’ve been foreseen and planned for as it would’ve already been scheduled prior to allocating rooms. No laundry and no kitchen facilities which is not really a hostel. Random people walking in to the property at all hours as there is a restaurant/bar attached. Probably would t stay again.

The only thing I didn't like is that people that are not staying in the hostel, are allowed to be inside of it. I understand the pool area is party area and that's cool to invite friends that are in other hotels, but at particular hours, you should kick out the people that are not staying in the hostel because, in my personal experience, there was an outsider person that represented a risk to my safety and made me feel uncomfortable and harassed, so this could eventually be a risk for other solo female travelers if you allow strange people to stay in the hotel pool area at late hours even if they are not registered in the hotel.

I loved the location of the Freehand hotel, the staff were very friendly and the location is amazing! Also, the hotel was very very clean, many things to do around the area, and the pool area is nice with lots of chairs and great things. Thank you. The thing I would improve is at least one eating area for you to bring food from the outside, it is not nice to eat or in the room or in the main door. But other than that, I recommend Free Hand Miami for a couple of nights in South Beach! :D

one of the bathroom stalls was clogged. apart from that the stay was perfect. I only have a few recommendations. 1- Create a telegram/WhatsApp group for people staying at the hostel to interact. 2 Box closed, only the glass wets the bathroom a lot
