Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesThe room was not clean. It seems like the bed sheets and the bath tub was not cleaned prior to check in. I saw hair in the pillow sheet and the bath tub. Didn't feel sanitary to sleep with the pillow so I slept with no pillow.
The staff was very nice and room was spatious.

United StatesThe AC was in a weird spot in the room, so only a portion of the room got cool. There was mold in the bathroom and I could see condensation drips, I assume from the AC location.
Location is great!! Cute little hotel in a great spot in LA. Room was simple and cozy for two people. Despite the below, I would definitely book there again. I do recommend to anyone visiting and who doesn’t want to stay in DTLA or someplace extremely pricey.

Young Sandi at Reception was very courteous and helpful. Public transport was convenient, such as bus 210. Microwave and fridge was good to have. Coffee machine with hot water was appreciated. Did not use housekeeping for our 5 nights but changed towels on request was no problem.

ItalyThe walls are very thin and you hear every single noise of the next rooms and shared hallway. The gate is missing, so not adequate people from the street came a few times screaming out loud. Towels need to be changed, as very spotted and grey.
The position is optimal for visiting the main areas of Los Angeles. Quiet area of the city. The coffee machine available to customers every time. The receptionist is very kind and helpful.

United StatesThe air conditioner is closer to the fridge, microwave, sink, bathroom sides. It’s not in the same space as the bed is in. Therefore, it seems that the ac doesn’t work as effective as it should be. The air in the room (the bed side) feels a bit warmer and not moving.

CanadaThe room was a little run down and felt empty, I may be wrong but it seemed like the room we got was about to be renovated and was missing a few pieces of furniture and wall decor. But that means more room for our luggage so not a huge problem really. The AC was quite loud. I got to take a peek at another room and it looked much nicer and newer so I suppose it comes down to luck. The ice machine did not work, and I count on that a lot (to fill a cooler) even when there's a fridge. The gentleman at the front desk was very nice as he tried to give me ice from the staff fridge, and while it wasn't enough ice to help with my cooler I very much appreciated the intention and was able to use the ice for a couple of drinks lol. There was a hairdryer holder but no hairdryer so we had to request one (which the front desk kindly provided).
The gentleman at the front desk was really nice and friendly. The hotel felt safe, the room was big and had a good fridge, AC, bathroom, microwave. We were missing a hair dryer but the front desk lent us one. Everything was very clean. The hotel exterior looks quite good and welcoming. The free coffee was fantastic, it was an actual espresso machine (in the lobby) that ground the coffee beans on demand, with multiple options like latte mocha etc. It was the best hotel coffee we'd had in a long time. Plenty of parking, we were able to park right in front of our room easily. Decent soundproofing (or just a quiet environment), we didn't hear much from the other rooms. The bed was clean and comfortable. We extended our stay by one night. The location was great as it was right between the dowtown area, hollywood, and the beach, and there wasn't too much traffic, easy to get an uber.
