The one elevator was down during my entire stay. And on my day of departure at 5AM the second elevator was inoperable. I tried to explain this to the check in clerk but due to what seemed like a communication gap she could not understand. This had resulted in walking down 5 floors with three bags. While not a deal breaker it was an inconvenience in an otherwise excellent stay.

Breakfast was good, pretty standard fare overall but good. My room was very satisfactory and clean.. Location was excellent. The bartender was excellent and a very personable host this was a pleasant surprise. The person he was training was brand new and when trying to explain giving her a tip there was again a communication gap. She was good and attentive just not quite attuned to the custom of giving tips for her good service.

elevators-only 1 working at the time of our stay breakfast could be better, it was a pain to have to make your own waffles and wait for them to cook, would have liked more buffet options rather than making my own

this was a great location for my daughters basketball team, large lobby with lots of seating to hang out at night, outdoor seating area also with firepit, playground and lake right across the street and a walkway up to Main Street for eating and shopping right around the corner. Pool area was clean and towels well stocked. Only complaint was that only 1 of the 2 elevators was working due to maintenance so it took a while to wait for that but would definately stay here again. Ozzy at the front deask was so friendly and accomodating!

Amazing location, right on the lake, parking is very conveniently located steps to the hotel. nice breakfast, coffee a tea available all day as well as apples and lemon water. Very friendly staff and very clean facilities. Will definitely come back.

Very convenient to everything in Lake Placid. We were skiing at Whiteface which was an easy 10 mile drive and close to Mt.Von Hoevenberg for XC skiing. Breakfast was actually good compared to some places with a decent variety. Rooms were spacious, clean and fairly well appointed. The rooms were quiet with little discernible hallway noise. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Pool was unavailable due to maintenance. This happens, often unplanned. But staff took extraordinary efforts to compensate us in other ways including room upgrade. this was tremendously appreciated. we will return!

I was very surprised that this is a chain hotel - it feels like a well cared for boutique lodge. The staff was very friendly and personable, the hotel was very clean and the little perks like snacks of popcorn in the lobby, 24 hour hot beverage bar, and games/puzzles for the guests to enjoy made it feel like home. The morning breakfast was good as well, a wide selection to choose from with some variation day to day. The hotel was also had a great location by the lake with easy walking to everything in Lake Placid.

All the staff: at the desk, cleaning and other services (most exchange students from South America) was ultra friendly and willing to assist with a smile. The location and views over the snowed lake were postal perfect. The Hampton is an easy walk to main street and amenities and 5 miles to Van Hoevenberg Olympic Nordic Center.

Only complaint is the coffee....they only have light roast and would like a darker roast. Too few coffee options but small complaint because everything else was wonderful. Dog friendly with lots of places to walk. Will definitely return.
