How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

There is nothing off hand that would make have any negative comments. I cannot report anything bad here. Staff great, room great, internet connectivity 100% good. For my needs, the hotel is perfect. Thank you to the staff for all they do for you.
I use this hotel every time I fly in from the UK. It is close to all of the amenities my wife and I require and access to my home where I grew up is only 15 minute drive away. I find this to be an excellent property and to me is located near everything you would need. The staff are excellent any time of day or night.

Not much not to like. The workout room was a little smaller than we were thinking, but it has a couple treadmills elipticals, bikes some dumbbells. The 1 issue we had with our room was the TV kept disconnecting we called and they sent the maitenance guy up and got it to work but then it disconnected again. We reported to the staff and I'm sure they will have it replaced.
Staff was great. The hotel has a quiet time policy after 9pm which is great for people that like to turn in early. The breakfast was good, the usual eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, oatmeal and cold cereal, yogurt, some fruit. Overall in definetly would stay again.

The selection for breakfast was great. The staff was very friendly and willing to accommodate and help. Place was clean and beds comfortable.

The breakfast was terrific. Quite of variety of breakfast items. The eating area was beautiful and clean. This hotel will be my go to when I need to stay in the area. So much better than my last stay with the hotel down the road. Thank you for keeping in a nice place to stay.

The suite we had didn't have a privacy lock on the bathroom door.
Have stayed at those property several times and always get a great customer service from beginning to end. Love Cecelia and the rest of the Kitchen staff. They always go out of their way with the guests. Front desk is very professional and courteous. The housekeepers are very friendly and accommodating.

I really don’t have anything to complain about!
The room was huge and clean, the bed was super comfy. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The price for breakfast included, the beautiful and clean room was fair. We were very impressed, and it was a very quiet place.

It was a pity that the gym was not in use because of renovation. It would have been nice to know that when booking. They did offer an alternative gym in the village, which was nice.
Nice, quiet location with reasonable distance from JFK, easy access, friendly staff. Rockville Centre is a cozy “village”.

My only negative, and it is a big one, is that for $300 a night I expect to have daily maid service without having to call and request it. For that reason, will not stay here again. The owners are trying to take advantage of the conditions that existed during the pandemic, when the rationale for this restriction is no longer relevant. If an occupant does not request or elect daily maid service they should get a discount on the daily rate at the time of checking
Staff was great...friendly and accommodating. Breakfast service was also very good.

The traffic noise was quite loud and annoying all day. Additional sound deadening steps are needed
