A very small breakfast area meant there was rarely space to sit in the morning. The whole breakfast bar should be reconfigured as people would pile up whilst getting their breakfast which made it all a bit of a bun fight. Our automatic blind malfunctioned during the middle of the night, twice, but an engineer was sent up as soon as we alerted the front desk. We were at the front of the hotel so it was pretty noisy even with double glazing, but luckily I had ear plugs with me.

Fantastic, central location, clean, spacious, comfortable rooms, friendly staff. Breakfast included which rare in New York!

The designated area for breakfast was waaay too small for the amount of guests staying at the hotel. And since it was always packed it was kind of difficult for it to be clean (people are just dirty and the staff didn't have a chance to clean since it was at full capacity).

I stayed here with my husband for our honeymoon and it was awesome! The staff was very kind and welcoming. The room was warm and the bed was super comfortable! Also the location was perfect, a few steps away from the Empire State and a lot of other attractions like the Times Square. The subway was just around the corner! So it was very convenient and easy to go to all the places the city has to offer. The housekeeping service was very flexible in terms of the designated time to clean. Also, almost all the staff spoke Spanish, so it was easy to communicate with everyone (my first language is Spanish). And the food was very tasty.

The fIoor I was allocated to was being decorated which wasn't to keen on with wet paint everywhere!! Would it not have been easier to not allocate room on these floor while wet paint around? As I was a single person staying I would of liked a room with view which I lost on a free upgrade when I had to change my day of booking in by one day, my room ended up being small & at the back seeming tucked away! Cleaning rooms got later each day through my stay & towels were small, could hardly wrap around myself & I'm not a big person!. I would stay again though as I've been here to this hotel 3x now

The breakfast was great though busy but much appreciated, the tea & coffee all day too was great! Staff were friendly on entering hotel every day with a smile & hello!

The lifts were very slow-only two available. We were on level 4 and you could hear street noise. However we were in a very busy city. There seemed a lot of waste as it was paper plates and plastic cutlery for breakfast service and that was disappointing and not very good for the environment!

Great location. Having hot drinks available throughout the day was a bonus

Hotel tired in some areas. Room snug but more than ok for the amount of time in it. Not enough healthy options at breakfast.

Hotel was very clean. Daily room and bathroom clean excellent. Towels very clean. Breakfast in the morning was really handy before you headed out for the day. Staff fantastic, couldn't do enough to help. Fabulous location, very easy to walk from here to most areas of the city. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate available all day.

Our room 608 was very noisy. Some sort of generator outside sounded like a loud fan. Thankfully we didn't spend much time in the room and we could sleep through it so it wasn't the worst thing in the world. The rest of the hotel made up for it. The lifts can be very busy so if we hadn't of been on 6th floor this could have been an issue.

Staff were fantastic. Breakfast very good. Location was excellent for subway/Penn station. Loved the 24 hr coffee and tea station. Helped with the jet lag!

I would say the only downside is the elevator. You’d be waiting a couple of minutes for the elevator to arrive. It took forever cause we were on the 19th floor

My room had a perfect view of the Empire State Building. It was the perfect location because Macy’s, Target and a bunch of other stores were nearby. The subway was also just right up the street. The breakfast was great. The little honey sausages they had were my favorite but they only served it on time during our stay. My best friend and I kept hoping they’d put them out again.

Just minor things, like the shower curtain didn't stay closed so we kept getting water on the floor. The bed was fine but not the most comfortable I've slept on. There are only two elevators and often one was taken over by the staff (especially in the morning) so it could sometimes take a while to get downstairs. Just minor things though!

The location was great and convenient to everything (subways are a block away). The rooms were comfortable and not too small. The breakfast was excellent and there was a lot to choose from, even almond milk. The staff was all very friendly and helpful. Overall a great value for the money.

As mentioned room is way to small for 02 adults and 02 kids, no crib and was very dirty under beds as we moved them to accomodate more space.

Location is great, hotel is overall honest but the room was way to small for 02 adults and 02 kids and does not offers crib nor easy to move the beds around to clear more space. The service team has tried their best to help us with extra pillows and bed sheets and cleaning the dirty as we moved the beds.

Things for improvement: 1) availability of / waiting time for elevators 2) inadequate lighting in the room (relates to the particular room we occupied) 3) waiting time for hot water in the shower 4) no fruit / vegetables for breakfast 5) it would be nice to have more wardrobes to store your stuff

Reasons to really like this hotel: 1) location (just a few steps from the busy subway station on Herald Square) 2) kindness and helpfulness of the staff 3) quite decent breakfast as for the US 4) overall cleanliness and peace 5) availability of water, tea, coffee 24/7
