I didn't like the front desk staff. they seem to use something in the form of drugs, they laugh a lot and cannot concentrate for a long time and understand that we need to be accommodated, they laugh for no reason, they cannot find a reservation, they cannot connect Wi-Fi. we arrived tired, we stand at the reception, they both talk with the departing guest. I had to wait until they laugh, say goodbye. then wi-fi did not connect. they said they would come to the room and forgot about it and did not come. we called again, everyone had to go down to the reception so that they connected us to wi-fi. because Wi-Fi by last name and room number was not connected. could you give me a password

However, the main drawback of this hotel is its location, which is not very convenient. Unfortunately, there are no good food joints in close proximity to the property, and if you don't have a car, it can be quite challenging to find suitable dining options nearby. This limitation can be inconvenient, especially for guests who prefer the convenience of having readily available dining choices within walking distance. Furthermore, during my stay, I encountered a minor issue with the coffee machine in my room. It had a loose connection and didn't always function properly. While this may seem like a small matter, it was a slight inconvenience for someone who relies on a morning cup of coffee.

I recently spent five nights at the Hampton Inn & Suites Newark-Harrison-Riverwalk in Newark, and overall, my experience was decent. While there were some positive aspects to my stay, there were also a few areas that could be improved upon. One of the positives of this hotel is its proximity to two train stations, which are both within a walkable distance of approximately 20 minutes. This convenience made it relatively easy to explore the area and get around without the need for a car. Upon entering my room, I was pleased to find it clean and neat. The housekeeping staff did a commendable job in ensuring a comfortable environment for guests. Additionally, the room was well-maintained, and I didn't encounter any major issues during my stay. The breakfast provided at the hotel was standard and decent. While it may not have been overly impressive, it offered a satisfactory selection of items to start the day. The staff members were friendly and helpful, which added to the overall positive experience.

Our first room was not cooling correctly. Front desk moves us to another room and it was great. Also there was a horrible marijuana smell and I got stuck in one of the elevators.

Coming back from dinner, we could not park at the building, but only at a remote lot. The breakfast was disappointing with no eggs ,fruit or pastry and only one kind of yogurt. No complimentary bottle water was available and the rooms seemed smaller than at other Hampton Inns where we have stayed.

The staff was friendly, helpful, and efficient. The room had a nice view of the river.

Room 320 bathroom sink drain was stopped up. Had to use kitchen sink most of the time for personal use. Water drained very slow. Left dirt rings. Had an engagement to attend to I was press for time in allowing maintenance to work on during my stay. The light switch plate in kitchen was hanging off and half was missing. The bed was rickety. To just sit down on it it creaked but the mattress was great. It didn't effect my sleeping. Nice room, clean but the 3 issues above took away from the room being a 10.

Evening/late shift hotel worker was rude. I’ve worked in customer service so I understand workers have bad days but the woman who was working Saturday night/early Sunday morning from 4/29-4/30 was rude to a lot of people and including my friends. My friends wanted to get some snacks after the concert we just saw. They wanted to use their credit cards. The worker says they can and proceeds to try to swipe. I guess the credit card machine was down and she said “you know what I don’t care anymore” and left a sour taste. Then later around 1am, I was waiting in the lobby for my Uber eats order. I was sitting on the couches and a man walks in needing help. Your employee didn’t acknowledge him and he assumed I worked there. I said I didn’t and then she piped up and said “I work here.” She saw him come in. Ignored him and let him ask a random guest (me) for help. It was really unprofessional.

The property is old . since one of the elevator is broken . all the guest have to manage with I elevator which was a issue . The housekeeping never turned up in spite of reminding .
