I wasn't happy that the last night we had asked for an extension that you sent an email to me around 2:30 pm telling me we were being asked to leave because you rented the room out from under us to somebody else. You claimed there were no other rooms available. Then called me at 4 pm telling me we had to vacate the room. Since I didn't know about the email at that time I couldn't understand why you would kick us out when we got approved for the extension through Thursday morning. My husband went personally to the reception desk and made the request. At no time did you bring up that I had made the booking through a 3rd party and therefore it couldn't be extended. You didn't say anything to my husband on Tuesday when he made the first request about it couldn't be done for that reason. You approved it. Later you claimed it was a new front desk person and they didn't know that rule. My husband told me that Ashley the one that called and told us to leave was the one who helped the new desk person to set it up for Wednesday and Thursday. The real problem is that they threw a grieving family out of the hotel who only wanted to stay the extra night to be with family. My father in law passed away and his funeral viewing was Tuesday and his funeral services was Wednesday. We wanted that one night to catch up with my husband's brother and his family who we don't get to see except Christmas or Thanksgiving usually. it's very hard to leave a family member at a hotel that was highly recommended by us only to be told to leave for their error. Shame on you. Oh and there was a roach in our room which was 405. The bathroom door didn't stay closed. The queen beds both slid during the night if you turned over. We always made sure to stay loyal to this Hampton Inn Waco South but never again. They treated us horribly after making a mistake on their part and didn't want to admit it was their fault.

Our room felt so humid. Left some clothing on the floor, & felt wet when I picked it up the following morning. Did not feel comfortable walking around barefoot. The carpet felt really damp. We had asked for house keeping & new towels one morning, came back to the room exactly the same. Had to go downstairs and ask for towel at the front desk because our phone wasn’t functional.

Hotel was close to many stores and restaurants. Quick and easy check in. Got to enjoy the indoor pool even during a rainy day.

The Decaf Coffee urn had cold coffee on both days of my stay. The water temperature in my room for taking a shower was cool at best. There was a small piece of trash on the floor under the desk at check-in, which made me wonder if the floor had been vacuumed. And it appeared that only one elevator was working.

The food served for breakfast was very good.

bed sheets would not stay on bed, they kept popping off at corners. air conditioner leaked on floor leaving the floor wet. AC unit right outside room was so loud!! We didn’t complain to staff. We didn’t want to be a bother to anyone. We were given a 1rst floor room because , we were told upon check in that there were no other rooms clean at the time. Hampton inn has always been our hotel of choice, but we are now considering maybe we should try something different. The staff was Top Notch!! super nice!!!

Hot tub in the room that didn’t work? Not very clsssy. And I didn’t even get a washcloth for the second night of my stay.

Hotel was showing signs of age. Peeling wallpaper, stains on and faded carpets. Room came with a jacuzzi tub that was non functional. Chairs and couch were not at all comfortable. Night shades on windows were broken.

Property could use interior updates like the carpet and major cleaning as far as details.

Property was conveniently located to lots of attractions we were looking to do including The Magnolia Silos, Waco Mammoth National Monument, and the Cameron Zoo.

Front desk staff (Dennis and Chris) were very friendly, helpful and got us to our rooms quickly. What we needed after a long day of moving. Cristina, who cleaned the room, did a very good job! Could smell and see the clean.

A roach in the bathtub in the morning, which I washed down the drain! **After staying 2 nights, I decided to stay again for 1 more night. **When getting Rm 131, I noticed in the bathroom another small critter, and I trapped it with putting the trash can on top of it!! Needless to say, the place needs to be Exterminated!! The other thing noticed was No drinking cups in the bathrooms for when finishing brushing teeth! I had to use a Coffee cup ☕!! *Most hotels supply cups in the bathrooms. Thanks.

Comfort and the Whirlpool

The stairwells were a little dirty. Also, even though the room was large and comfortable, it felt a little dated.

Great value! It was nice to have a hot breakfast once again. Great size room. Comfy bed.
