The property is located next to the beach, just a short walk away. The rooms were decorated beautifully and the kitchen was well equipped.

While our stay in the Coral unit had its positives, there were a few aspects that didn't quite meet our preferences. The space felt a bit cramped, and the limited dining option being only outside on the porch was sometimes challenging, especially in the cooler evenings. The couch, doubling as a hide-a-bed, was unfortunately uncomfortable for lounging, making meal times a bit awkward. Additionally, the noise from the hot tub located above our unit was noticeable and somewhat bothersome, although I recognize this might be considered a minor issue. One significant area for improvement would be the lighting; the current bright lighting felt overly harsh. Implementing dimmers or using softer bulbs could significantly enhance the overall comfort of the space. While the price was fair, considering the location, we found the overall experience to be average. We thoroughly enjoyed our time exploring Kauai, but given these considerations, we might explore different accommodations if we return to the area

We were greeted by an envelope at the front door and found it incredibly convenient that the door was unlocked upon arrival. The clear directions provided made the check-in process seamless, and the overall communication was excellent. The location was fantastic, allowing us easy access to the beach within walking distance. The well-stocked kitchen was a standout feature, equipped with everything we needed to prepare our meals comfortably. Additionally, the comprehensive information book in the living room was a treasure trove of helpful tips and ideas, which added value to our stay. The availability of a laundry facility was a pleasant surprise and proved to be a great bonus during our visit. We made use of the washer and dryer, which came in handy and added to the convenience of our stay.

Lacking privacy, guests in other units are crossing in front of the lanai and people from the neighboring property/street can see you as well. The floor was a bit gritty when we first arrived, but that was less of a problem as we used slippers.

A 5 minute walk from the beach, has the sun umbrella and chairs for use at the beach, big bed and kitchen, comfortable for a beach holiday.

The jacuzzi was broken and the manager only left a note on the counter without notifying us beforehand... Very unprofessional to do! If we knew it was broken we probably wouldn't have picked this place. Their defence was it JUST broke... But still could have emailed us to let us know instead just writing a note and left on the counter for us to see upon arrival... Also the safety deposit box doesn't work, and the windows were broken and one of the window the screen door was missing (mosquitoes were coming in... And I had read about this missing screen door on one of the reviews from long time ago but I thought it would've been fixed by now but it wasn't....)...I notified the manager but he didn't even respond to those problems. The beds were ok but any type of movement made very loud squeaky noises. They tried to compensate for the hot tub by reserving a restaurant with a $100 credit for us last minute but we were already on the other part of the island that night so couldn't make it... Our group had 4 ppl (2 couples) so was only $25 reimbursement each... Which we thought was not nearly enough for the malfunction of a hot tub which we could have used anytime we wanted, and was one of the main reasons why we booked this place in the first place. I asked the manager to help me get in touch with the owner to see what he can do but he ignored my messages... Didn't even reply to me at the end. I could see the place might have once been a nice place when the owner used to lived there, but it has definitely NOT been kept in shape at all! Anything can break when you arrive and they will not let you know beforehand and you will be paying for the price you thought you deserved to pay with no reimbursement whatsoever at the end if anything was not working as promised.

It's a great location, very close to everything. Had most of the amenities you need. Has AC and washer and dryer but it was shared amongst other suites and was not in the unit, you had to go downstairs outside to do laundry.

Our AC didn’t work, which made the room extremely uncomfortable even with the fan they provided. Walls were very thin so we could hear guests upstairs. The first two nights the guest were very loud and disruptive. Though the next guest were MUCH quieter, you could still hear them moving around, so FYI if that’s something that would bother you. Not enough linens provided for an 8 night stay as we had to wash our two towels ourselves. The laundry room is a nice amenity, but we thought of it as a nice bonus while booking, not a situation where we’d have to wash our bath linens to get through the week while on vacation. Bedroom TV would not cooperate (kept freezing).

The location was a quick drive to the beach (5 mins). They let us check out late, which was very helpful! Beach chairs provided.

The place is perfect and there is nothing that I don’t like about the place.

I loved everything about the property. It is very well situated in a great neighborhood and centrally located. The place is in impeccable condition. The place is very clean and very well maintained. It has a huge lanai and with surrounding lush gardens. The place is huge and we had more than enough space for a family of 3 and can even allocate for more people. We loved how it was decorated. We loved our stay and we will definitely stay here again when we are back to Kauai. Staying at Hideaway made our first trip in Kauai even more special. And we will highly recommend to our friends and family.
