The outlet covers and smoke detector was missing. Dark liquid splashed on the wall and ceiling. Killed at least 5 flies and stink bugs in the room. Bedskirt was torn and hanging. No water pressure in shower. White linens were stained.

The room was not appropriately cleaned. The floor was sticky with cleaning residue and the sheets did not feel clean. The toilet did not stop running and had not been cleaned. The bathroom still had hair in it. The towels had been washed, but were stained.

The location and the price of this motel were good. The AC unit in my room worked well. The concierge was friendly.

The walls were thin. The couple in the room next to us woke us up for 3 hours until I beat on the wall. There were spiders, in the room. Half the wall sockets did not have there face plates on them. There was a fist sized hole in the bathroom door.

The location was great. The staff were so lovely.

Entire area around checkin was covered with cobwebs, so it was a tad frustrating. The tape around the door of the room caused some uneasy feelings as we payed down to sleep- though our exhaustion over came that concern. BUT, the fact that some treatment had been done prevented us from putting anything on the floor or bed, we unpacked next to nothing, slept and checked out without incidence. We will likely check all our luggage prior to bringing it into our home when we get back.

The room was fine- HOWEVER there was what appeared to be tape remaining around the entire frame of the door- indicating either a fresh coat of paint (which is unlikely) or some type of “bombing pest treatment” had recently been done.

The room did not look like it was cleaned prior to our arrival . The sheets were dirty, the drawers were dirty inside - one contained a Dorito!, the floor was dirty, there was dog poop outside and it smelled like urine outside. I paid 90$ last minute for a Saturday stay, expected a little "charm" over a chain hotel, but was disappointed at lack of cleanliness.

The location! It's a walk to a liquor store, gas station, and great restaurant! It's a short drive to a lot of other exciting and fun fitness related activities!

There was no breakfast; no ice. The A/C in the room was making a screeching sound whenever it came on so Proprietor switched my room. Coffee maker in the new room was missing a tray; proprietor gave me another one. Bed had no comforter or spread that could be used for warmth; I used my own sleeping bag opened up.

Price. Proprietors were friendly and tried to respond to requests.

The room was very cold as the heater kept turning off. It was confusingly signed - nothing on the exterior said "Hillside Hotel". Instead, a wobbly wooden sign named it Knights Inn (and it had a faux knight theme). Interesting place but would not come back again.

The room was not clean behind the appliances, the refrigerator did not work and there was barely any hot water or water pressure

The location in proximity to Harpers Ferry and Charlestown was great and the Mountain View was really nice.

Bathrom toilet bowl obviously had not been cleaned since the last guest and shower was in need of deep cleaning badlly. Notiied manager of this in the morning but nothing had been cleaned when we returned after dark. After re-requesting the bathroom issues to be handled, amazinglly a housekeeper came within half an hour and cleaned the bathroom. Also upon return to the room that night about 7pm there was only a trickle of water from the bathroom sink and no water availalbe in the shower. Manager advised us that she had been doing laundry and it should improve. There was still only a trickle when the housekeeper came, so she went to check into it. It finally was back to full flow..as it had been that morning when we had taken showers. Towels were thin. When I asked about a bath mat, the manager told me they were not provided. I would not stay here again unless thre was no place else to stay.

It was a rural location within 10 minutes of Harpers Ferry and 30 miutes of Antietam battlefield. That is why we chose it. The room was homey and cozy looking, but was hard to get to feel warm. There was a place to eat across the street/highway with a good menu.
