Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe only thing I didn't like was that house keeping told us we had to leave the room to clean it.
My room was better than expected. Everything was in walking distance. The best of shopping and eating right outside of the front door.

AustriaI have no negative points that I could mention.
The hotel is very well situated right next to Canal Street and the French Quarter. The hotel can be reached from the airport by an airport shuttle (we took a taxi which brought us there in approx. 20 minutes). The stops of several streetcars are very close by (only a few minutes on foot). We mostly walked around on foot to the French Quarter and could visit all attractions there easily on foot. The hotel is very calm and quiet, our room was quite beautiful and comfortable and very clean. One evening we ordered dinner with the room service and the food was very good and delivered swiftly, the price was also quite okay. We did not get to try the rooftop swimming pool but the view from the rooftop was spectacular and the terrace was inviting. The pool was a bit small but I guess it is sufficient for a refreshing dip on a hot day. The fitness room also looked nice, it is accessible around the clock. We had breakfast at the hotel every day and enjoyed it quite a lot. Compared to other American breakfasts, the choice was very varied (for us Europeans ;-)), you could order pancakes and omlets, there was fresh fruit every day and the coffee was also quite good. The staff at the breakfast service was outstandingly nice and friendly, we had a nice and welcoming chat every morning and received quite a few good tips for our stay in New Orleans. We were quite sad to say goodbye on our last day. The reception staff was equally kind and helpful. The hotel also has a small shop where you can buy snacks and microwaveable food (there is a microwave in the rooms). All in all we felt very well cared for during our stay, we definitely recommend this hotel for your stay in New Orleans. I hope I can come back some day.

It’s located close enough to French Quarter and Bourbon Street but far enough to not hear any of the partying going on at night Room was really big and comfortable as well as clean. The pool had a really nice view of nearby buildings and the French Quarter

United StatesThe water went out twice while I was there and the AC was locked into a mode where it wouldn't stop cooling the room no matter what I set the temperature to. The thermostat only had buttons to turn the target temp up and down w/ no actual "OFF" switch. I called down to the front desk and they sent somebody up right away who examined the situation and popped a switch behind the service panel and it shut off. The hot water was off my 2nd morning there and completely off the morning I was leaving, along with the toilet being stopped up. I told the morning manager as I was checking out. To the staff's credit, they were all very helpful with these issues. I was quite impressed with the speed at which the A/C tech showed up at my room.
Location, Staff were helpful when I needed them. Gym/Exercise center was well-appointed and the equipment was all functional.

United StatesWhen checking in they gave us a single bed, instead of the 2 queens that were reserved. After moving us to a new room, the room did not have a city view and we paid extra for the view. According to the staff, all rooms were booked. But they also told us that the there were no queen beds available when checking in. I did not receive any reduction in the hotel price. The fan in the bathroom did not work as well.
The beds were nice and comfortable.
