Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesThe lack of cleanliness of the room. Staff did not tell me when I checked in that I needed to call everyday to get my room cleaned The rooms were not clean, dirt in the corner of the bathroom floor, mirror streaked with some kind of substance, toilet not wiped clean (sometime of liquid on the seat), when I checked in. When asked for a refresh because they did not clean the room, staff dumped my towel on my small table and put refreshed coffee in a grocery bag and did not take the dirty towels.
Everyone was really friendly. When I went to check out, I explained to the staff the problem with not cleaning my room. They comped me one night stay and $100 off my bill. I did not even ask!

United StatesThe room wasn’t the cleanest. Blanket had stains on it, there was hair still on the bathroom floor, and a towel shoved under the sink. Housekeeping practically barged in while we were sleeping. Also pool was cold.

Keep in mind this is close to a $300 room , it didn't have a shower curtain,toilet bowl had big yellow pee stain, the beds reading light didn't work, no trash bag liners, main entry light kept flickering, the shower was confusing to use( instead of being hot it was cold and instead of cold it was set to hot) ,drawer was jammed . I expected more for it being hilton we did tell front desk when checking out and she was kind enough to refund us 50 bucks . It just sucked because I wanted my birthday weekend to be perfect and the room was not what I thought it would be .
The hotel and location itself was nice and had that fancy feeling and I loved going up top to 360 rooftop bar.

United StatesFront Desk attitude was terrible. At check in I realized that I left my license at TSA. I was unable to check in without a license. The Front Desk and manager did not offer any solution. They just kept repeating the policy. We asked if we could check in with my guest's ID and that was OK. Why did we have to listen to policy, policy, policy for 5 minutes, instead of working a solution that was very obvious.

United StatesNo lock on the bathroom door. Hotel needs to be updated. Room did not have enough outlets for our electronics. No outlets in lamp by bed.
Great location, right next to the baseball stadium same quick walk to the Arch. Breakfast buffet was good, lots of choices and service was good. Sauna was nice. There is a great 360 view restaurant at the top of the hotel that is very popular. Get there right when it opens because it’s hard to get a seat.

United StatesOur room was not ready for check in til 5:30 we had plans for the kids to swim before the game and did not have time. We got back to the room after the game and had zero linens for the pull out couch. Took an hour to get them.
