How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

We had to leave 🙁 We miss our stay here!
OMG! i cannot stress enough how much we enjoyed the hotel! everything was amazing!!! We super enjoyed Kauai most especially staying here!! We loved loved loved everything!!! Rooms were huge! 2 bedrooms with own shower, 1 with tub, fully equipped kitchen and living room, dining room. geez! super!!! Location was super!!! Quiet, relaxing, fabulous!!! Poipu beach is close for snorkelling. We were checked in at 1st level in building 100, my geez!! it was too stunning! we are at the corner, we were able to open the patio doors of the rooms and the living room and also enjoyed sunrise and sunset from our patio, also loved that we can just come out of our rooms and walk on the grass. They allowed us to do early check in. All the facilities were nicely kept, clean and all. The gardens were fab! The pool even though not deep, it was still a great place to hangout! loved the night swimming cos u can watch the stars while floating, superrr!! They let us leave our luggages for the day as we had a late flight, let us use the facilities before our flight, we were able to use the pool and their shower too!! The staff were wonderful!! There was more to enjoy in the hotel but sadly we had to leave!! the place was just a perfect vacation! We cannot thank you enough for letting us enjoy Kauai!! Will definitely be staying here when we travel back to Kauai! ❤️❤️❤️

Absolutely filthy and unhygienic - literal pubic hair in the sink and the room smelled like fish. We got moved to a second room that was equally as gross. Staff did not care about the dirtiness, was so unhelpful in even locating our room, and did nothing to make things better. The manager was contacted, claimed to have called but never did, and never responded to a follow up message to rectify this situation. I would NEVER recommend anyone stay here ever.

We found cockroaches in our bathroom a few times
The grounds were beautiful! Our room was ocean view and we were able to leave windows open at night for the cool winds off of the ocean. It was so relaxing to listen to the waves all night!

They gave us a room next to their electrical room which had a static grinding sound all night as well as a noisy air conditioner. Washer was so noisy it disturbed the entire room. Not happy and they offered nothing

Beautiful facilities, helpful staff. The server at poolside grill was so friendly and charming.
Beach access was a little rocky.

The fact that it is literally located on the "point" means the wind is always very strong here which was really annoying. Any tie you were outside at the snack bar, pool, etc. the wind was always forcefully blowing! Also the grounds were in horrible condition. It was depressing I would never recommend this property

I see that some accommodations are dated. The king bed mattress my wife and I slept on had a plank of wood between the mattress and box spring that was a problem until I made sure I was fully supported. I recommend that a new mattress replace the existing setup.
I was pleased that the staff was were able to locate all 3 of our condos in the same building where our condo had the best ocean side view. The other two condos had good views for being Garden view. Being an timeshare owner here I was very pleased with accessible the pool area was to our building. Poolside Bar and Grill was nice to have the day we arrived.

I realize the accommodation was built sometime ago and some of the tile and carpet need some updating. The cabinets in the kitchen were a bit musty smelling.We knew that the location was by the ocean, but I did not realize it was a rocky beach so we had to walk to the properties next-door or to Poipu beach, not very far away.
Our two bedroom accommodation add plenty of room and we had a partial Oceanview which was very nice. We appreciate it having an adult spa which meant no children running around, so it was relaxing. The property was quite nice and the pool area was beautifully landscaped.
