I did not get my $200 deposit refunded to my card although the property said that they released the money it was never deposited back onto my card

I thought it was ridiculous for them to have a 200 deposit, the property was average at best.

This hotel was very clean but has seen its better days. The carpets were worn and the furniture was beyond marked. But since it was clean we overlooked the flaws.

Good breakfast not spectacular. Water is a little weird, bring bottled water. (Sensitive stomach, older adults or young kids…bottle water and no free coffee)

Perfect location, right off 75. Everyone we encountered here was super helpful and nice. Good breakfast not spectacular. Hot cookies and free coffee/tea/hot chocolate at all times. We experienced hurricane during stay,they were informative and communicative about possible issues. No back up generators here. Pool furniture was not available, tied down for several days due to winds. Has 1 working elevator.

They surprise you with a “deposit” fee when you arrive. I have stayed there before and never had that happen. When my daughter and I arrived they made us pay $200 on our debit card to make sure the room stayed clean and no damage. Felt a little weird lol.

If the kids over slept and miss breakfast I couldn't take breakfast to them yes there is one sign but everyone did it all the time but I just would make there plates and sit in the area till they woke up and staff had to wait on me to clean the area.

Hotel is somewhat isolated, within walking distance is a Cracker Barrel & a Waffle House but that’s it. Cute waterfront restaurant 3 mile drive down the road. Metal bed frame was very squeaky and made a lot of noise every time someone moved.

Hotel was nice, quiet, clean and right off the highway. AC worked well and room seemed recently renovated with tile flooring (no carpet) which was great. Not very many guests while we were there so there wasn’t a lot of coming/going noises from the hall.

The smell of the AC when it's running. You can smell the mildew when the air comes out of the AC.

The bed was very comfortable. That's the only thing that we liked.

Price was outrageous for a motel. I understand that this was mostly due to the hurricane last year and the issues it must have caused with beachfront properties and demand but still 300 a night! I probably should have done my homework and stayed inland.

Two of the outlets on the lamp between the beds did not work. The bathroom did not have a fan which seemed to contribute to a musty smell to the room despite our hanging up the towels to dry. Also, there is no shelf in the bath/shwoer area to place shampoo bottles etc. Additionally, when the toilet clogged, the person answering the phone simply stated 'come and get the plunger'. This may have been a safety issue that she not leave the desk but if so, the communication was definitely lacking.

The air conditioning worked well. I enjoyed having a refrigerator in the room and ironing board.

Unfortunately the bathroom did not have a vent fan and we found a huge roach crawling on the floor.

Overall this hotel was very good and the hotel seemed very clean and smelled clean except for the exception that there was a huge roach in our room that we had to kill. Other than that the staff was very friendly and they served breakfast in the morning.

The receptionist upon arrival acted as though I was bothering her. She was on the phone & could have at least acknowledged me with a tilt of her head or told the person on the other end just a minute.

i booked this for my adult kids from out of town i was not staying there but because I was paying for the room and I was local they wanted to charge me a cash deposit along with credit card. also they messed up on other family reservation . that’s another story

I didn't like the location; it is located next to a street that had too much traffic and it was very noisy in the mornings
