Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

The listing said breakfast was included but they canceled breakfast and offered nothing. The check in and checkout was annoying and slow and the staff were at best incompetent and did not care.

United StatesThere was garbage in front of our door, and it was never removed. The room was old with cigaret burns in the bed spread and the curtains. There were many stains on the floors and walls. You have to pay a deposit of $100 dollars, and a $25 deposit for a tv remote. You get the money back but. . . There was no breakfast of any kind. We spent two night here, and they were two of the worst nights I ever spent.

I was aware of the policy as it was posted many time on all the walls & I had plenty of time to read it during my wait. we need assistance with getting reception on the television, just local channels. Needed assistance with pulling the water on in the shower ( I am a strong 60+ yrs ago woman & I could not pull it to the on position) Very large motel with only approximately 10% filled rate. United StatesThere was a line outside to check in, we stood out in the hot sun for over 40 minutes. Once I started the check in service I found out it was 100 dollar deposit for each room which was not what the booking.com website indicated. The website gave the impression that it was 100 dollar deposit for the entire appointment. After checking in and getting to our rooms we found that one room didn't have any trash cans, while the other room had one. Fridge didn't work in the room with one trash can. Didn't realize that the TV remotes were located in the office until our second night. I realize that due to COVID policies have changed but the lady that checked me in didn't mention anything about the remotes.
It was a last minute reservation and they still had rooms available.

BelgiumBoth at checking and at check out, employees are behind a window and you can see them ignoring your ringing. At check-in, they're asking for a deposit, which is not mentioned on booking (100$). The included breakfast wasn't offered for some reason. I had picked this hotel because of the breakfast so I'm pretty mad about that one. The pool listed in the equipment was closed and it seems it has been closed for a while. It was really hot also.. There were a bunch of people wandering around or hanging out in the hotel parking at night, right in front of my room sometimes, playing loud music, yelling, smoking and throwing out their cigarettes buds everywhere, and most disturbingly : looking at you like you weirdly when you pass by. The room smelled terrible, by far the worst smelling room I've ever ever experienced. It was dusty and old. The bathroom was dirty beyond reasonable and shower was hard to figure out.
