How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Pooled claimed to be heated, it wasn't. Advertised whirlpool, none there. Breakfast missing key components, like juice. Lack of variety

Went to the wrong Comfort Inn per GPS direction. The receptionist said people ALWAYS go to the other local one (back and forth) but they are 30 minutes apart - so difficult to find the correct GPS address. The people walking in behind us went to the wrong Comfort Inn also. Same reason as us.

they only have one waffle iron so its a half hour + wait. Back door never locked anyone can come in thats scary these days. Just needs to be cleaner in lobby, common areas.

The remodel of the rooms to tile floors instead of carpet was not ideal it was cold and the beds were noisy every time you sat down it echoed and sounded like door slammed the fact that the restaurant bar and arcade were not open was a real downer we have been coming for 7 years and may not return next year because of these reasons

We check in on Friday afternoon and didn’t realize they don’t have housekeeping service on the weekend. That’s what we were told by the front desk, we had to empty our room garbage ourselves and was told to dump it outside in the parking lot dumpster. I was shocked for the amount of money we were paying and pretty disgusted by that.
The free breakfast was delicious. They had Belgian waffles, eggs, toast and lots of wrapped baked goods. The indoor pool was great and perfect t for my toddler daughter. We picked this location to be close to Split Rock indoor water park and we went to Kalarahi.

The bathroom was not up to standard. Breakfast was limited, If you did not go early chances, you would not get any food. Breakfast was substandard.
Facility was in close proximity to facilities that had food. Staff was friendly and receptive. It was good that they had hot water /cofffee available 24 hrs.

I still can't get over that I had little choice but to pay over $100 for this room. They have a definite cleanliness problem and I'm not just being picky; the chair in the room was stained with some sticky substance and the edges of everything in the bathroom was grimy or moldy. Once you get past the lobby, the facility itself is in need of a lot of attention; water damaged ceiling tiles, nonworking elevators and generally very shabby. I'm sorry but for $100 plus a night I'm expecting a little more for the money. I'd say that this was definitely a $65 hotel back in the day and they are marking it up taking advantage of their location.
The pillows were fluffy. There is a microwave and refrigerator in the room which is becoming more rare so that was nice too. Looks like the room was recently painted and they allow pets.
