Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

We were able to get adjoining rooms last minute. That’s about all that was pleasant.

Phone didn't work, toilet ran entire time, shower filthy, fitted sheet had burn holes & top sheet had something red all over them, coffee pot looked like it had never been cleaned & a note to housekeeping with their issues was still on night stand. I feel I deserve at least a 50% discount immediately. Totally & utterly disgusting and you should be ashamed to charge people to stay there

United StatesIt was horrible, we couldn’t get the light and 2 lamps turned on when we walked in and was overwhelmed with a huge smell. The room (and bathroom) and not been cleaned. We saw a comb and chewed up, spit out sunflower seeds all over the floor. The comforter had burned in cigarette holes and the door wouldn’t lock. Was very upsetting when drove 15 hours and came to this for a night with 3 kids. Wouldn’t give a refund and will never go back.

United StatesThis was the most horrific experience I've ever had. They tried to keep my deposit I had to call the police in order to get my deposit back. The owner likes to have sex with prostitute. Good morning staff is highly rude they lock you out your room. We had no water for almost half a day it was not accommodated for the inconvenience.
