Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

CanadaThe windows were covered with pull-down blinds. Very bright at night. Let light in. Needs better window coverings. And I didn't like the check in process. It was done via Tele conference. There was nobody at the desk when I first arrived.

Have stayed before. While it's a basic one level motel the location and room were excellent. We were greeted by a Robot with a live person talking remotely. Checked us in and out and were very nice.

United StatesThe room was small, but I think Expedition upgraded my room, so that's not a fair comparison. The bathtub was slippery and didn't have a plug so no bath (a big deal after 3 days of hiking!). Check in was weird - they had a kiosk with a person you video chat with or something. Glad I didn't have to use that. No free breakfast - you have to go to The Adventure Inn next door if you want breakfast. The parking lot is tiny, so it's a good thing that I got there early. I paid approximately $1 less for this place per night vs Expedition. Maybe I got lucky with Expedition, I don't know.
It's not that this place is bad, so much as it's mediocre, and didn't compare to staying at the Expedition Lodge (should've decided to book 3 nights instead of 2 sooner - my bad). The room was very clean, had bedspreads that weren't white, comfortable bed and pillows, good toiletries, and a great recommendation for a place to eat!

United StatesCrazy kiosk check in. Room was clean but bathroom looks like it was remodeled in about 2 hours by 12 year olds. Still had blue tape at bottom of tile. Tub drain control removed and sitting in corner of tub. Was ok for me and by buddy, but I wouldn't bring my wife here.

United StatesThis time some things in the room weren’t working. Like, the bathroom fan, and warming light, the hair blower outlet, the ‘constant fan’ on the heating unit. Seems the upkeep has deteriorated a little. :(

United StatesOlder facility but bed and bedding did appear to have been updated. The bottom bed sheet was not fitted and did not remain in place. The room needed a good cleaning, base boards and top of tall furniture were dusty. Tub in the bath was in need of cosmetic repair, Finishes were lower end and NO USB ports available. Lighting limited. Eight to ten miles further to restaurants.
The location was great. The room was quite large and the bed was comfortable. Of the facilities available it was the best value although quite expensive for what one got. WIFI worked well. Quiet.
