How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

No A/C in hallways. WiFi fast in rooms, but computers in Business Center were very slow.

AC not working in lobby and breakfast area..pillows were like rocks...very uncomfortable

The Staff was really friendly and helpful. The location was great. The breakfast was good. waffles, eggs, sausage and other items, the coffee was good. Its quiet and back away from the main road.

Horrible mattresses, dodgy elevator, and sketchy people hanging around the parking lot. I see that they rented to a work crew which always invites problems, and a guy a few rooms down from me was openly smoking pot in the hallway. The toilet fill valve in room 204 needs to be replaced as well as the exceptionally loud air conditioner.
Extremely friendly staff and great location, great breakfast and great coffee

The bed pillows were uncomfortable and the shower curtain didn’t close properly.

We have been coming to this location for over 15 years. Newer pool patio furniture. The chairs sag and aren’t very appealing. Also if some how a sun shade option could be provided other than the two tables/umbrellas that get occupied quickly. Also maybe a small scale or something to weigh luggage at the manager’s desk would be great. Need a refrigerator with a freezer in the rooms.
Breakfast was satisfactory. Would like a variety of bagel flavors maybe, cinnamon raisin, rye. The OJ is too watered down coming out of the machine. Eggs are somewhat ok. They don’t really taste like eggs but will do. Previously they had flavored creamers which tamed down the strong coffee. Better coffee

Just that one day the room was not cleaned and the trash cans were quite small so you couldn’t fit much in there. Also something was happening with a leak on the 4th floor ceiling down the hall so that made me nervous that there could be mold in the ceiling, I had no idea what was going on there and they had a cleaning company coming in with masks on.
The staff was very accommodating when I had an issue. One day the room wasn’t cleaned but we’d been in here for the morning. They got it cleaned fully the next day. Maria at the breakfast was so friendly helpful hardworking. Liked the room and the view of the pond. I liked that Mel’s diner was right in front of the hotel.

They gave us an accessible room and the shower curtain didn’t keep all the water in the shower pan so the floor was wet after showering.

Bed too firm, broken elevator- staff were not straightforward about when it would be fixed. Housekeeping was mostly good, but they missed a day, and did not always replenish/ replace things.
Nice accommodations, lovely surroundings, good location, helpful staff.

The elevator was broken and my room was on the 4th floor. The room was not clean enough on the day of check in but next day the housekeeper cleaned it very good. No welcome drink or welcome bag on our check in day
The location, very close to the beach, the breakfast was very good. The staff were very friendly.
