I booked rooms for my family on booking.com and selected " pet friendly rooms", assuming I was paying a nightly price for a room allowing a pet. Checked in no problem, but later was told I needed to pay an additional $28 pet fee. Though I was willing to do so, it seems a bit of bait and switch scenario. Customer should know that additional charge will occur on booking.com site. Otherwise a " nonsmoking " room could have an additional fee, " handicap" room could have an additional fee etc. If a pet friendly room costs more, then add that fee on the booking.com site rather than having hidden fees not listed when you book your room. I see this as a booking.com issue more than an issue of the hotel. Just be upfront and transparent, customers will appreciate that more. Lastly, rooms are fairly noisy when people walk down the hallway and floor creaks or doors open and close nearby, which will startle you from a deep sleep.

The staff at the restaurant is exceptional. Friendly and efficient. Ample parking. Dog friendly rooms. Great water pressure in the showers. Reasonable nightly rate. Allowed late checkout for our group. Overall we really appreciated this hotel and enjoyed our stay there.

Staff was great! Breakfast coupons were amazing, although the food was not. LOVED the size of the room and location. Pool was cute and it has a hot tub. Having a fridge and microwave was amazing.

The room I stayed in, albeit a "pet room" (I had no pets), was beat up. Loose door handles, broken lock on window, and so on. I know this property has better rooms that this, so I took it all with a "grain of salt" approach.

We were given a voucher for $8 per person towards breakfast, which didn't cover the whole cost. We had been given the impression that breakfast was included and so didn't expect any extra cost. The hotel was short staffed and our room wasn't ready when we arrived. We were asked to come back later. There was nothing to do in Lander. Only good for a stop off point.

The check in manager was belligerent and combative and said that just because I made a reservation through bookings.com and paid for it, didn’t ensure that I had a room. I was there just to ensure her that I would be late checking in while I was driving through. She said that didn’t mean anything to her. She told the couple before me to get the hell out. If any body actually reads this you should stop promoting this facility. The non smoking room smelled of cigarette smoke.

The only negative was that the “free breakfast” was really a coupon for $8 or $9 off at the restaurant next door. I didn’t use it and would have preferred a continental type in the lobby. They’re quicker and I was a bit rushed.

Nothing special but I didn’t spend much. I’d stay there again.

Initially we had a rough time checking in. Desk was in a bad mood. After we left for an errand, we returned and the desk became very helpful. Our error on a room selection that I did not see as it put us in a pet room. My wife has pet allergies. once we got it straightened out, we were good to go.

Rooms were clean. Bed was a welcome site.

We liked having the option of what to have for breakfast and getting a coupon towards that meal.

I accidentality reserved the pet room. Staff was forthcoming about it in case I had pet allergies, and told me that they steam clean the room. I told them that I didn't have any allergies and would keep the room. However, the carpet still had dog hair everywhere and pet dander/dust on the microwave and counter surfaces. I turned on the heater due to the cool evening and it reeked of "dead animal" smell, so I immediately turned it off. So for being a pet room, it wasn't very clean. As far as breakfast went, I checked the menu for the on-site restaurant but didn't see any gluten free items. So we went to a local bakery which offered gluten free items, which was fabulous.

Location was great. The staff was extremely friendly. Beds were very comfortable. Grounds were attractive and clean. Bathroom was spotless. You could tell this was a historic inn at one time. All the necessary amenities were available.

We over heard the house keeper complain about having to clean 28 rooms today, we saw her manager helping her though, shows good management. The coffee pot could use a little attention in the suite.

The breakfast was awful and will be the reason we would stay elsewhere. Other motels have the breakfast buffet which is better and the price evens out because of the restaurant prices.
