Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe skillets in the kitchen were garbage. Goodwill has better- i was charged for the coffee table book that i did not keep. I was charged for the shampoo body wash conditioner $35 each bottle. I stayed 8 nights- when i called to discuss with management i was going up on multiple times. “Tim” manager? Never called me or emailed me as i was promised. Very rude treatment
Nice big rooms, i hosted the bridal party and my daughter for her wedding day. We all got ready and plenty of room

United KingdomOnly downsides were that we could hear other rooms quite clearly at times above us and next door. The pool area at times with being small felt overrun with kids when we were there. Just having a few in there screaming and splashing around did disrupt everyone as no one else could get in the pool and ended up soaked whilst trying to chill out and the pool bar was not open at any time during our visit when we went up there. Not sure if that was just a seasonal thing.
staff were amazing and did everything to make sure we had an enjoyable trip. Made plenty of suggestions of places to go, helped give us ideas of getting around. Room was lovely and spacious for x2 of us, having the balcony for some outside space was an added bonus. Rooftop pool was lovely and the daybeds comfortable to lay out. Location was nice and quiet in a residential area but only a short walk to sunset strip. The finishing touches of the hotel for complimentary coffee in the mornings at the cafe and wine in the evening really add to the guest experience.

United StatesNothing-this is our new favorite hotel!
Everything-amazing boutique hotel with cool music vibe and incredible art in a fantastic location (walkable to sunset strip and Melrose/Santa Monica Blvd with great restaurants and shops each with a unique feel), beautiful rooms with sitting areas, an gorgeous rooftop pool and tennis court with the best views of LA I have ever seen (and I grew up in LA) and friendly, helpful staff. And if that's not enough there's a complementary wine hour we enjoyed on the gorgeous rooftop pool with their amazing views. We also really appreciated the list of places to eat-several of which we tried on our two visits and were all great

AustraliaThe carpet had a musty smell. Sofa bed not super comfy but didn't expect much and kids didn't complain. It was roomy enough for 2 kids though! Bedding was sufficient. Main bed was fine and would happily return. Very handy to have the kitchenette.
The room had everything you needed. Location was great. Staff were accomadating and friendly. We had a car and found it a close drive to every place we wanted to see and also close to the supermarket and cafes.

AustriaThere is a crazy charge of around 65 USD$ per night to park the car in the hotel basement, and the only option is to Valet Park.
Staff were super friendly. The rooms were great, clean and large, with comfy beds and linen. The facilities of the hotel were very nice especially the pool area overlooking West Hollywood.

United KingdomNoise travelled within the hotel - you could hear when your neighbour opened the toilet door and walking above you. I live in a house normally and hearing this ‘noise’ was not good for me

United StatesWe had no negative experiences at the property we only enjoyed it.
We loved our room it was exceptional we even had our own living room and fireplace and it was stocked with all kinds of liquor, soda, juice and snacks. The staff were super friendly and knowledgeable about the area gave us recommendations on places to visit and restaurants. They had valet parking which makes life so much easier not having to park the car yourself or have to go to a parking lot to pick it up. They have a cafe so we could get espresso drinks made to our liking every morning and a restaurant make sure to ask about the wine hour where you get bottomless free wine. Lastly they have a lovely rooftop pool with a view of the city. The prices overall were pretty reasonable for LA.

Room was spacious & comfortable with a lounge area and mini bar fridge. Cool furniture inside the room. Bathroom was modern and clean. The free wine hour was also great in their restaurant area with the cool vibes and tunes. They also have free tea and coffee in the morning. Staff were exceptionally lovely and had great service. The rooftop pool with day beds and lounges with the gorgeous view was a highlight. Also they have a tennis court! Yes it is a little on the expensive side for a solo traveller but you're getting what you pay for.
