Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United KingdomWe stayed in a room on the top floor right on the corner of the building (502 or 506) which was lovely and quiet for us. However it smelled terrible, it was a damp smell and the door had rotted along the bottom. We think the air con had been leaking because the corner next to it smelled awful. Everything in this room needed replacing, the sofa was very old, saggy and seemed unclean, the carpets and the bath were stained. I still rate this hotel a 7 because this is not fault of the cleaners or staff who were lovely, it needs a complete refit/revamp or at the very last everything needed wet vacuuming.
The location of the hotel was really convenient for our stay and there was always a good amount of parking. The breakfast was basic but good. The room was quite large and it was nice to have the dining table. The bed was extra comfy!
