Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe rooms are a bit tired and need a but of a freshen up to match the hotel lobby. Our room had wall paper starting to peel off the wall and dents in the furniture etc. The pool is so busy with none hotel guests we couldn’t use it. We also got charged for using the coffee machine in our room, not a huge issue or cost but never had that at a 5 star hotel.
Great location, so easy to move around LA. Room were big and bed very comfortable. Most of the staff were super friendly and helpful

United KingdomThe rooms are a bit tired - the door on the mini bar was starting to fall off. The rooms weren't as clean as they should be but not enough for me to care.

United KingdomThis is not a great hotel for families. The pool area is next to the bar and so children are not allowed in it after 1pm (I cannot see any info about this on booking nor on their website, we were just given a printed piece of paper on check in telling us this). The pool itself is grubby and the lounger area is fine but getting a little tired. There were lost earrings and other bits at the bottom of the pool, presumably from all the partying during the evening before. The elevators take a long time and there were people not staying at the hotel trying to get on to the room floors. The room itself was fine, behind the trendy veneer, the paint, floors and edges were in need of a refresh and were getting a little worn. The bathroom was small and not great. Tiles were starting to wobble. The overbath shower needs a complete replacement with the shower controls having to be held steady and tightened before it could be used, the plug control did not work so we had to prise it up, and water accumulated in a puddle around the bath surround, presumably leaving a extra job each time for the very friendly maid.
The room was of good size and the beds were comfy. It looked stylish but some aspects were feeling tired. There was a maintenance issue with the room and the gentleman on the front desk was very efficient and we had a workman come and fix the problem within 20 minutes. The general vibe of the place is for younger adult visitors that are in LA to party and want a hotel in a trendy area. It does not feel like a family or business hotel.

United KingdomBreakfast not great and over priced The shower ran either hot or tepid. I asked the hotel to look at it but reminded the same for my 4 day stay Not the hotel’s fault but the next door hotel very noisy - bring ear plugs!
Pro’s - lovely large room. The hotel accommodated my prior request for a quiet room away from the pool area The bar by the pool was lovely with great staff Very clean hotel, great comfy bed

United KingdomWe only had 1 robe in the room so we asked for a second one. Midstay both robes disappeared and were not replaced. Never known that before. We wanted to enjoy breakfast on our last day and it should have been open from 7-11 in the restaurant. When we showed up at 9.30am we were told breakfast was in the lobby as the restaurant was set up for brunch at 11am. The lobby is not really ideal for breakfast so we decided to eat elsewhere. A lot of instagram people who turn up to be seen and take endless photos
We managed to check in early at 12noon and got a free upgrade via booking.com which was nice. Our room was on th 7th floor with amazing views. We liked the location. The room was spotless, toiletries nice.

CanadaBooked a king suite but they checked us into a queen room. We complained and they gave us what we booked. There was a problem with scalding water in the shower and despite my complaints to reception, nothing was done about it. Coffee was not replenished as it should daily.

United Kingdom1. No wardrobe space for two 2. A $2500 mandatory deposit taken from you at check-in with no prior warning. 3. $100 an hour for a late check out in a hotel that wasn't busy 4. Money taken from a holding card one week after my stay for what I still don't know as they never get back to you. 5. Shirty & unhelpful front desk staff

ColombiaThe parking cost and the USD 200 Credit Card block required for each room per night are too high. The guys from the valet parking and at the entrance of the Restaurant and Bar could be friendly with the hotel guests. The restaurant and bar are mainly for visitors rather than for guests.
