Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The floor was disgusting, the desk had soda or some other sticky drink spilled on it and not cleaned up, the toilet seat had pee on the underside of it, and althought the room said no-smoking, it smelled badly of stale cigarette smoke. We were only able to tolerate it by getting febreze out of our car and spraying it liberally.
Location was convenient to our airport parking and easy to find.

United StatesThe cockroachs, dirty, only let the two of us have one towel to share, the employees and managers didn't do anything about the people above us making a lot of noise all night long so we didn't get any sleep, another person not even sure if she had a room at the motel parked her car right in front of our door in the middle of the night and started arguing with a gentleman outside our door and making a lot of noise going through her car and reorganizing it so my husband very politely asked her to please move her stuff on sidewalk and her car over to a parking spot away from our door and she punched him in the face for it, the motel manager was there when it happened and he didn't say or do anything about it. I asked for either a free night or a partial refund for everything we went through and he flat out refused that and didn't even apologize to me or my husband about anything.

CanadaThe door to the room could not be locked. The door would not shut properly, letting in cold air and noise from the adjacent elevated freeway. Flimsy bed covers made for a cold, uncomfortable night. We were disturbed by noisy neighbors yelling and screaming in the next-door room.
Convenient, near to the airport for a late-night check-in. Glad to leave early the next morning.

United StatesRoom smelled like smoke, no shades on lamps, ceiling light not covered. Mold in bathroom. When we brought it up, we got a new room, graffiti on the inside door and mold again. Left immediately and did not stay.
Staff was friendly. It’s a franchised operation and you can tell the staff there are doing the best with what they have but the owners need to invest in the rooms.

CanadaThey don’t accept booking.com booking and front desk staff refuse to accept that online booking instead that they charge more and gave you wake in offer with more money and becareful they charge unauthorized payments also without letting you know. They charge me $80.93 from my credit card without any reason, then I put that on dispute with credit card company.
