As long as you understand that this is a two-star hotel, you will enjoy. The sweets provided by staff are certainly a nice gesture, just not as “incredible” as some people make it out to be. Still good.

This is a great value for a comfortable, clean, and safe room in a good location, and which includes parking. If you’re looking for something within budget, I would not hesitate to book.

The location was great-less than 2 blocks to the beach. Parking off street was included behind the hotel. The hotel was secure, very clean and well kept. The staff were super friendly and helpful. They even baked nightly treats. We had a wonderful stay.

If I have to say anything I may not have liked, the bed was a little too firm for me but really wasn't terrible. Other than that, there was nothing I didn't like.

The staff was amazin. VERY welcoming, helpful and kind. The hotel was charming and felt like home. Every person we encountered in the hotel was helpful and hospitable. The fresh baked goods in the afternoon and coffee all day was such a nice little perk. The rooms were perfect for our needs and they have family apartments available as well for a larger party or longer stay. The location was a block away from the boardwalk and beach and near a lot of restaurants. Very easy to navigate around from there. Cute front porch with furniture to sit out on and have coffee or just people watch. They take excellent care of the grounds.

It’s definitely dated, but everything was so well maintained that it didn’t take away from our experience at all.

Everything was so clean! (Note the photos are after we had spent the night before house keeping came the second time- everything was pristine upon our arrival). Also for a basic hotel bed the mattress was quite comfortable.

My ONLY gripe is that it doesn’t have a pool, but I knew that going into it. Everything else was perfect!

Staff was amazing, probably the best customer service we’ve ever had in OCMD. They have fresh baked goods nightly and coffee in the morning. Clean rooms. Location was great, steps away from the boardwalk. Great air conditioning in the room. Awesome shower pressure!

The King Charles Hotel is a perfectly run small establishment that truly takes pride in providing clean and and comfortable rooms for guests. So much nicer than the bigger hotels and great location just one block off the boardwalk!

Nothing to not like.

Amazing, amazing, Amazing experience what a lovely humble place. My friends and I needed an escape from the big city, and that is exactly what we got. Especially the baked goods at 6 pm, it was like we were at our aunts home. The sweetest.

This was by far the cleanest room I've ever stayed in. Cozy room, comfy bed! Did I mention clean?? The staff made you feel like you were a guest in their home. The porch is so welcoming and relaxing. Homemade cookies and coffee daily. Donald, the night watchman, is so nice, a true gentleman. The whole staff really was exceptional. You don't find this type of hospitality anymore!

The check in was easy. The room was ready and nice and clean. I got moved to the first floor very convenient. Parking was great was able to park at the hotel and very close to the boardwalk and stores. Staff was really nice.

it was very clean, noticeably clean through out the hallways as well. the staff was extremely friendly…even baked cookies to have for the kids in the evening. it was so nice!
