The resort fee seems like just an extra to the room rate, but all the hotels are doing this.

This is a great hotel for the budget traveler. It is a very clean but old hotel. Have the right expectation as this is a mom and pop budget hotel and not a resort. Location is great for shopping at Ala Moana mall (nice food court), Don Quijote (Japanese dept. store), Walmart, Sams Club. We drove everywhere else. A big nice breakfast for $5 is the deal, any other place is $20+ for meal and coffee. Parking is fine as street meters are free 6pm - 7am and then $1.50/hr. Use the ParkSmarter app and you can feed your meter remotely.

Room cleaning - after 4 days only. No towels, soaps, coffee etc. Elevators doesn't react, when you puch closing door button. Very slow.

Close to Ala Moana, nice and clean location without bunches of people and traffic noise. Nice stuff at hotel. Room is big and comfortable enough.

The bathtub paint is chipping. There is a slight unpleasant odor near the door going in the room.

The location has a construction site across the street which had noise during the week. But once that building is built, that should take care of that. The check in process seemed a little long after getting off a very long flight, but once it was all set, we were good. Other than that, the front desk staff was very pleasant.

The location was pretty good. I was within walking distance to the Ala Moana Center, Ross and we even walked to be beach from there. The room wasn't bad. The beds were small but comfy and the air conditioner kept it pretty cool. The water pressure in the shower was wonderful. We enjoyed the $5 breakfast downstairs as well.

I had an upgrade to a room on the 12th floor.Since I am 6 ft. tall,I found the beds,vanity sink and toilet too low.Reminds me of the toilets in an elementary school bathroom.

Don't use the parking lot, meters on the street can be used with the app. No charge during 6pm-7am .

We stayed for two nights. The hotel is better than the reviews score. It has good value, location is convenient, room was clean, The $5/pp breakfast with coupon was especially convenient for us.

We thought the kitchen corner could have been "updated" a bit. However, it was clean.

The desk clerk was extremely helpful to us, with an early arrival and a recent urgent medical problem for my husband. She was able to get us into the first available room of the type booked as soon as housekeeping had completed cleaning. Also, we were positioned fairly close--but not near the noise--of coming and going via the elevator. Therefore, ease of access minus the noise.

We are a large family and needed two rooms. The rooms are only cleaned every 4 days, so there was a lot of self-maintenance while we were there. One of our rooms had cockroaches, while the other was very clean. The rooms are older but worked. Parking is charged at 29.00. And is not guaranteed. There is another restaurant attached to the hotel, and valet parking is shared with the hotel guests. We were very frustrated that we pre-paid for our parking and 2 nights were not able to use it because of this reason.

Friendly staff, the food at the restaurant was amazing and they provide you with meal vouchers. The meals end up costing about 5 dollars each. The fish pond is pretty neat! he hotel is not within walking distance of the beach, but there is tons of shopping. Target, Wal-Mart, Ross, and the mall are all within 2 blocks.
