Great location near the ocean and beach (although quite remote from other parts of the island). 30 minute drive to Volcano. Our condo had a great view over the gardens to the ocean.

The property is rather isolated. Some folks will miss ammenities like restaurants and night life right outside their door but if you are more into nature (like my family is) this might be a great fit.

This property is located in a pretty isolated part of the island - near the southern tip of the island and the furthest southern point of the United States. We have stayed here twice in the last few years. The property is very clean, modern and well maintained and we enjoyed using the outdoor pool, hot tub. It is only a half mile of the famous Black Sand Beach and its many sea turtles and only a 30 minute drive to the visitor center at Volcanoes National Park. As an amateur astronomer I especially appreciated the dark skies and viewing celestial wonders that can't be seen from my home in Michigan.

It was remote, this was nice for privacy but visors need to be aware to bring food and supplies as eating out is not practical.

The pool with a view was a great spot to relax. It was close to the ocean to walk to.

What a lovely location on the quieter side of Big Island!! All we heard most of the was the ocean waves, birds and the wind blowing gently. No planes, boats and hardly a car went by. Very beautiful ocean views, lovely balcony in our condo, all we could need in the condo to prepare meals. We will definitely consider staying here again and have recommended it to family members.

The only thing I didn't like was I had to leave and come back to Oahu. Big Island is calm, spread out and was like going back in time. You must do your own house keeping, but it was pleasure to keep it neat. Loved the condo. It had everything I need. I cooked several good meals. Nice dishes and pots and pans. Even baking stuff...

The location is between Hilo & Kona. Hawaii Belt Road is a beautiful Drive from either location. Upon arrival I was so impressed with the ocean and mountain views. The condo sit on a old golf course and you can walk the fairway and I found little trail to the beach below the unit. Wow. Perfect get away. Wonderful Pool and Lava Rock Jacuzzi Wow. There is a little bakery with some food service and great sweet treats about 8 miles away, but its suggest to bring in food. I had plenty and so enjoy this location.

Hot tub is a little too cold. Please heat it to 102F. The Golf course that the units overlook has been abandoned since COVID, and is no longer a functioning Golf course: the Greens are no longer maintained. and brush is starting to take over. However is not owned/managed by Sea Mountain, so the Resort is not at fault. But they could choose to maintain it a bot: it would look better of at least the fairways were mowed once every 6 weeks.

Very convenient, airy, spacious condos in a tropical setting near a beautiful black sand beach, very quiet, connected to nature, remote (bring your food!) Most units have spectacular view of the ocean, ours did not, but we had a partial view of the ocean over a lush garden, which was still very pleasant and so relaxing.

The location was beautiful. Enjoyed seeing the different birds and walking to black sand beach. Would have enjoyed staying a couple more days. Green sand beach was an adventure, for sure, and we enjoyed local farmers market in neighboring town.

I love it at Punalu'u Condos. Whether I'm staying for business or pleasure it's one of my favorite places to stay. It's a peaceful hideaway, with a great pool and view of the mountains and ocean. I stay there at least twice a year.

That we were only able to stay one night. We booked it because we needed to be closer to the airport to leave the next day. If we return to Hawaii we would definitely stay there longer.

with in walking distance of the sea. The location was quiet and beautiful. the bedroom, living room and kitchen were large and bright Wonderful back porch for breakfast and dinners

A neighbour with a smoker’s cough was the only complaint. The walls are a little thin.

A real find, just off the highway between Kona to Hilo … and just a short walk to the fabulous ‘black beach’ … plus, as out of any populated area… the stars are amazing ! Highly recommend
