Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United StatesFront desk staff was not as friendly as our first stay. I was told when I checked in that the parking would cost $5 since I was a Bonvoy member. I had not expected a charge for parking but agreed. The next morning I was charged $35 and was told by a front dest manager with a rude tone that I must have misunderstood. when I questioned again she agreed to take it down to $25. It was obvious from her tone and lack of eye contact and frown on her face that I was being a pain in her side.
We have stayed twice both times related to flights in and out of O'Hare. The location is convenient, hotel is clean and pleasant, beds comfortable.

United StatesCarpet had strong adhesive smell. Hopefully, that will fade with time. My flight came in at 11:40 pm and last shuttle was at 11:30. Seems like a hotel like Sheraton could afford to keep the shuttle running; Uber was $41 for a 10 minute trip!!!

Costa RicaFood is regular quality, expensive (not worth it). Linguini with chicken bad taste, heavy, overcooked liguini. Breakfast can be way more better. The oatmeal has no flavor, regular bread, not high quality coffee. At hapoy hour Stella Artois beer run out of stock. Definitely is an area were can improve things.
