I had a small package of marketing materials couriered - very clearly marked with my name and arrival date: by the time they found the package it was too late for my event. But the Housekeeping lady was very friendly and apologetic.

Lovely room, quiet, spacious.. staff was friendly, especially Housekeeping.

Due to the hotel being historic ( formerly the Sir Francis Drake) the bathrooms have been remodeled. Keeping the old charm style. However, the bathroom is small. There is no separate shower. An old bathroom with a retrofit shower in it. Gets the job done but if you have mobility issues, I would not recommend on this alone. Perhaps they have a handicapped room. Anyway, post hip replacement I found this challenging. Noisy, ask for an interior room.

Great location! Cable car stop at hotel. Beautiful old hotel, richly designed, sense of grandeur and hospitality. Clean, rather modest but well appointed room. Nice employees. Great value for the money. I felt well received and safe as a solo female traveler.

The room was outdated and it was small for the 3 of us. A bit noisy because of the HVAC system from interior court , not a problem for us but to take in consideration at check-in.

Location 10/10 close to almost everything, staff, clean, and the beds super comfortable.

I think that breakfast should have been included in the price an I would have liked a kettle in there to boil water with some teabags. Using coffee pods is very einvironmentally unfriendly and I was disappointed to see this but glad we had coffee in the room. There must be a better alternative. Also, I didn't like being asked for such a high deposit or even a deposit at all.

The room, location and bed were all excellent. The staff were all friendly and accommodating too.

I don't think there is anything that we 'didn't like' about this hotel, it fully met our requirements and exceeded our expectations.

This hotel is in a superb location, just a few steps away from Union Square and very close to the cable car line to Fisherman's Wharf. Being in a city, the rooms are a little smaller than you would normally get but they are still a good size, clean and homely after a long day out sight seeing. The staff are very friendly and helpful and we would most definitely stay here again when visiting San Francisco.

Small bathroom without counter space and shower didn’t have great water pressure, needs updating.

Renovated decor paid homage to beautiful historic building and it had comfortable modern amenities. Room was beautiful, spacious and had a view.

The walls are not sound proof so if you are bothered by neighbours talking loud, this may be an issue. The elevator sound reaching the floor is quite noisy as well. I was a bit dissapointed about the hotel reception messing up my cards' deposit and charge for the room, despite being super nice and aparently knowing what they were doing. The manager proposed a solution for my problem so hopefully all will be fine in the end.

The hotel is is conveniently located a couple of blocks away from Union Square, close to transportation and shops. The room is nicely decorated. Comfy beds. You may prefer the one bed room instead of the twin one, as you would have more space.

It was nice. Very centrally located and getting an Uber was quick. Hotel staff friendly and like the security outside.

You could hear a bit of street noise in the room at night. However, nothing to stop you from sleeping.

This location was excellent. Only 1/2 block from Union Square. All the restaurants and shopping were in easy walking distance and the cable car was right outside the front door. The room was clean and the beds super comfortable. The staff in the hotel were excellent from the greeting at the front door to the reception staff and the Starlight lounge staff! It’s really nice to see people who like their job and are excellent at customer service. Wow everyone was amazingly nice! Thank you!
