There is no way to take a shower and NOT get the floor wet because of the open design.

Except for the room size, not much else. Getting from one side of the room to the other was a challenge and I kept banging into the tv as the space between the bed and wall where the tv was mounted was very little.

It is lovely restored hotel which is very well located. The room was a little small for 2 people with bags, but it had everything required, from a steam iron, a hairdryer and coffee maker. Bed was comfortable and room service was impeccable. Full Mark's for the location. The concierge on duty was very kind and helpful and hotel security helped my daughter when she was accosted by a homeless man. All in all, a good stay.

False fire alarm in the middle of the night was a nuisance.

Sliding door for bathroom which did not completely close is a bit disconcerting when traveling as a duo.

Wasn't terrible but we wish the bathroom door (it is a sliding barn door)was a bit more sound proof and the glass on the shower door wasn't as open as it is as water ends up on the floor...a lot. And wish there was a fan in the bathroom...especially given the door situation.

Everything! Second year staying year and for sure will come back for next year's trip. Staff are all lovely, location is perfect (love hearing the ding of the trolleys), the beauty of the hotel is spectacular, and the room is very comfortable!

Love the ambiance and the staff is always friendly and accommodating, from those in lobby, housekeeping and Valet (xtra amazing). The location is excellent!! This is my go to hotel when in San Francisco!!!

The first time we stayed we did not have a high room and we faced Powell St. and there was quite a bit of street noise.

Gym is basic, if you like to exercise, is a basic one comparing to other "big hotels". It's noisy because of the street cable system for the cable cars, so indeed you feel like you are in an airplane.

Room was clean and spacious, and bed was amazing, like super good, specially in SF where there's not a lot to do, it was good to sleep more.

While the price of the stay was very good value, the bar (both drinks and food) was quite pricy.

Excellent location in the city centre of SF. The design of the lobby and restoration of old features of the property gave it a very nice feel and aesthetic in the common areas. The hotel room was functional and clean. The bed was one of the nicest and most comfortable I’ve slept in for a long time. Really nice duvets and mattress.

The restaurant, which is located in the hotel, unfortunately does not match the quality of the rest of the hotel. The staff were sometimes unfriendly and the price-performance ratio was rather disappointing but there are countless good restaurants within walking distance.

The hotel definitely has the charm of the old days from the outside and in the public areas but the rooms were modernized and tastefully decorated. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Our impression was as expected! despite a minor inconvenience while checking in since the room we got was too small and noisy, the receptionist Monica did a great job in providing a better alternative. We really enjoyed our stay and visit to San Francisco, and would repeat it again if possible.
