During hot summer days, the apartment gets really warm. We have received the message to not leave the AC on and not shads up the windows when we walked away for all days due to living plants. It was no problem to us, but the flat gets quite hot and the loud AC was able to cool down the sleeping room not the rest of the apartment, in the evening before we went to bed. It would be good to consider using electric cattle instead of cooking water using the stove.

The apartment is exactly as shown in the pictures. It has its atmosphere. You enter the flat on the 1st floor (3rd level) through the old-style stairs case. Generally is clean and A LOT of kitchen and bathroom amenities are provided. For two persons place is more than enough. The wardrobe is very useful. Very good location - within walking distance to Columbia Campus, the North side of Central Park, and 125 St. metro. M3 bus stop is just in front of the building. It was not a problem to check in after midnight and check out at 6.15 AM.

we did not liked the mattress that was way way too soft ! we also had fire alarm turned on every time we cooked something on the stove. We would be appreciative if oil salt etc. would be available

The Apartment is on first floor (ground floor + 1). There is no lift. We had heavy luggage and was difficult to carry it upstairs.

Very spacious and comfortable apartment. My wife loved the kitchen. Not that she could use all things in kitchen. Very close to a subway station. A bus-stop right in front of the apartment. Almost all shops within 5 minutes' walk.

The mattress was kind of hard, the air conditioning was very noisy and only in the living room, not in the bedroom (it was very hot during this week).

We liked the comfort of the apartment, it was very well equipped, especially the kitchen and the bathroom. The location was great, not in the centre, but close to transportation. The landlord was kind and explained everything to us. The neighborhood is ok, relatively quiet at night.

Maybe to leave a bottle of water in the refrigerator... actually, I cannot think in something I did not like. The property is quiet, nice, clean, well decorated.

We loved the property, it is a beautiful apartment and a quiet and historic neighborhood. The apartment has a really good taste decoration. We found all to prepare breakfast (coffee, creamer, sugar, etc). The apartment is huge for the NYC standards. The location is great. It has a convenience store a few meters from the apartment, and a city supermarket two blocks away, several small coffee shops with great sweet treats (Dulcería, with excellent alfajores; the Double Dutch Expresso coffee shop with great croissants, both on Frederick Douglas Blvd) just two block away the apartment. We used only public transportation, metros A, C,. D. We used to arrive past midnight almost every day (1:00, 2:00 am) and it is safe to walk at any time. It is also really easy to use the bus from La Guardia and to La Guardia. It is just one bus, M60, to 125 and Saint Nicholas. I also encourage to buy a weekly pass (if you stay longer, you can buy for 2 weeks or monthly passes also) to use all public transportation (buses and metro) in NYC. It is 33 dollars, and we use to travel from La Guardia to the property, several trips during our stay, and to travel to La Guardia. We also walk from the property to the Central Park, is is a beautiful walk! Just a few block away of the property it is the Apollo Theater, an historic theater where most of the jazz artists played, and play. They have a tour on Saturdays and Wednesdays at 11:00 am and 1:00 pm. If you like history, just walk the neighborhood, you will find great murals, and historical places all around. I encourage to explore the Harlem area.

All of our needs were met immediately. As soon as we arrived earlier than anticipated we were warmly greeted, given our keys and allowed to store our baggage for the day until the apartment was cleaned.

Beware that you must climb some stairs to reach the apartment. There is street noise during the day and early evening but it is calm late at night.

The location is excellent, 2 blocks away from the 125th subway station, an easy walk to the Columbia University campus and a short walk to shops and Whole Foods on 125th street. The kitchen is extremely well appointed and the apartment is well furnished. Nice garden view from the rear bedroom.

Mary is excellent at checking on you and making sure everything is good. The apartment was exactly as pictured. The metro is 2 blocks away on 125th. Close to a ton a good restaurants and bars. I will definitely stay here again

Everything was as I expected. Good location and downtown connection. The apartment was big and it had all of the necessary equipment. TV has free movies, news and other channels. AC was strong enough to keep us comfortable in the brutal NYC heat wave:) Perfect for 2-3 people for a few days stay.

The mattress was very very soft, such that my partner had to sleep on the floor with blankets as it hurt his back to have no support. This is personal preference though!

Amazing location, just a 3 minute walk from a subway station that can take you into Central manhattan within 15/20 minutes. Also close to bars/supermarkets/a great liquor store. Flat was super clean and well decorated and the kitchen has everything you could need. Mary also provides really good coffee and teas.
