How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

It was unusual as it was like a former apartment complex so we had the top floor rooms in a condo of 3 storeys. Large clean room, great large shower room, a couple of armchairs, balcony, separate small room with fridge, microwave. Quiet and great location a few min walk from Point Pinos - Pacific Coast, birdwatching, beach. Breakfast available. Avoids the traffic in Monterey with easy access back off the penninsula to the CA1.

Hotel is a bit dated and could use some remodeling inside rooms, freshening up is needed.
We stayed at this hotel a few years ago so we knew what to expect, nothing has changed which is good and bad, staff helpful and pleasant, location is very nice in a residential neighborhood which we liked

I can’t understand how you can provide a full kitchen but no way to wash or dry pots properly. The kitchen was falling apart and the oven and dish washer were removed. Not even a tin opener or cork screw provided. With a like more thought and effort this place could be amazing. Poor quality control from such a big company.
Stunning location in Pacific Grove about a 10/15 minute walk to one of the best coastal areas I’ve ever visited. Easy parking right outside the apartment. Huge space to stay in.

The full size kitchen did not have a toaster, cups, glasses, dish drainer, dish towels. The tv lost signal several times. Luckily we brought our IPad.

Single use plastics every morning at breakfast. What a waste. Yes there is a recycling bin there but thats not excuse just plain Eco washing! Get a dishwasher! Room was a bit dark. Bit more lighting would be great.
Breakfast was good plenty of options. Our room 119 overlooked the park so was a quiet location. Shower nice and big and plenty of space for us. The surrounding area was beautiful and seemed like a nice neighbourhood. We arrived 3 hours before check in and could Leave our luggage with them as the room wasn’t ready

Location is fantastic, quiet, scenic, walking/bike path runs through the property. Suites have huge main king bedroom with fireplace, TV and wet bar. large private decks, open and covered. Large kitchen with dining nook and equipped with dishes etc. The one bath and queen sleeper couch would work for family with little ones but would be tight for 4 adults.

the cabinet door to fridge was badly patched up, looked like was going to break. The drawers to put closed in were not working right were sticking and hard ripen and close. it was minor but room was above breakfast area so was woken up early each day when wanted to sleep in. it also sounded like had something in walls.
it was clean and had a nice breakfast.

It was a little bit dark in the room - we are not used to such dim lightning. We were a little bit disappointed by breakfast - almost no fresh food

The room was not fancy and has not been remodeled recently but no complaints. Everything was in good order and very clean.
Room was very clean! We got a "King Suite" with a full kitchen at the same price as a single "King Room" at comparable locations. Decent breakfast offered, also very clean and well attended.

It was on the second floor and it was kind of hard to take the suitcases up their .
The room was big and comfortable. The breakfast was enough (nothing special) . The location was great, few min drive from 17 mile drive, good and comfortable stop to make if you are doing route one road trip.

1. Desk clerk not very welcoming. 2. Declined points because I reserved thru booking.com. ☹️Good to know for the future! 3. Soda machine not working! No “out of order” sign.
