The location was walkable to all trams and city locations. The room was spotless and very comfortable with a touch of luxury. The parking in the basement is also cheaper than the city locations. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Complimentary coffee at reception was a nice touch.

Parking is a bit pricey but it’s necessary.

I love this property. It’s my preferred first choice every time I go to Portland. It never disappoints and the staff seems to genuinely like doing what they do which results in a rarely seen environment. Truly. And the price due to being a Genius level booking.com user doesn’t hurt.

The only negative is the bedsheets felt cheep (they electrified and got stuck to the body).

Good location, nice staff, pleasant room (spacious), good price/quality ratio. For New Year we got some complimentary swag and drinks, it was a nice touch! A lot of restaurants around, everything walking distance. We also were lucky to get a parking spot in the garage, so it made our stay completely worry free (note - parking is not free, it’s paid, it’s very clear in the hotel description!)

The hotel is starting to show its age a bit, and could use sprucing up in a few parts. The bathroom didn't stay closed, just needs some TLC really.

The proximity to food and entertainment, the friendly staff, and off-street parking.

The hotels cafe wasn't open as it was a Sunday night and Monday morning. The people in the room next to ours were loud but at least they stopped making noise by 11pm. Everything looks a bit worn but it also has alot of charachter.

Our room was spacious with a couch and a little kitchenette. We had lovely city views and were in walking distance to many cafes and a great bookstore. The bed was comfy and the shower was good. Nice to have a couch and the views. The price was great for what we got! To park your car you had to drive around the corner and go into a parking garage there. Once inside you could take an elevator into the hotel. Friendly and helpful staff!

    That I couldn't stay longer!

The hotel is really great! It is very charming and it has a super friendly staff! The location in downtown Portland is exceptional and it has everything to make your stay very pleasant. My room had a microwave and a mini fridge. The bed was big and comfortable and everything was perfect! They offer coffee or tea during the whole day. I enjoy everything about this hotel!!! I definitely want to come back!!!

Not the fault of the property but there was a horrible smell in the hallway. They think someone cooked fish. It was one of the worst things I’ve ever smelled! Lasted our entire stay.

We loved the large King suite. So comfortable. Lots of room.

It would be nice if they had a spa or pool, but this is an older property and that doesn't seem possible.

The only thing I would say I didn't like was the bathroom looked like it was starting to have mood on the walls, but we made sure to tell someone about that.

This place was wonderful. The hospitality was amazing. Best hotel I've stayed in for a while. I would definitely book again. The hotel was as close to a lot of clubs and restaurants. Very convenient. We were there for new years eve, so they made up our suite for that.

Our only complaint was that there was a partially-eaten pie in the kitchenette refrigerator! Though it's easy to see how it could have been forgotten—it was on a top shelf at a hard-to-see angle—it made us a a bit concerned about what else was missed.

We checked in late, but had been upgraded to a nicer room for free. Sadly, we had to decline because we needed an ADA room, but the staff was still very kind & accommodating. And the room that we got was still gorgeous!

    Nothing. It was great.

We requested a quiet room and were very happy with 605. It was away from road noise & other guests. We were awoken at 7:30 a.m. by the staff accessing the utility/storage room next door though. It would’ve been nice to sleep a little later, but overall, it was one of the quietest rooms we’ve stayed in. Location was perfect for exploring downtown. We parked a few blocks away on Yamhill for just $14 a day & used the MAX for $5 a day. There are many things within walking distance too.

Very little parking that can’t be requested in advance. Requested to have sofa bed made up before we arrived for adult daughter staying with us and she had to go request blankets and pillows after check in as it wasn’t done. No daily housekeeping. Steep pet fee without any provisions for pets.

Super convenient. Easy to find. 2 short blocks from Powell’s books. Easy walk to transit. Lots of nearby restaurants.
