Shower takes a very long time to produce hot water (We almost gave up on it), but left the cold water running and it eventually warmed up.

Dinner was superb. Free breakfast was outstanding. Atmosphere in the dining/conference areas was impressive. Building was beautiful inside and out. Bed was large and comfortable.

The breakfast was excellent. The staff was nice. The hotel was clean and in a great location. There was no TV in the room but that was ok because we were outside in the beautiful town. Parking was easy.

Had some trouble with the wifi and where was the tv? But, it was good to just be together, just the two of us.

Our stay was very relaxing. It rained a lot and we couldn't do a lot. The view was outstanding. The room was comfortable, the breakfast really good (loved the homemade strawberry preserves) and the staff was accommodating. We were celebrating our 58th wedding anniversary.

If you're looking for all the modern conveniences, this isn't your best choice. We were OK with no TV, limited hot water (early in the morning - it was fine at night), and the "cosy" rooms. The period furniture is so pretty, and the stairs to the second floor, while obviously old, were wide and shallow and easy for us to walk up and down. It was just amazing to stay at a place that has seen so much history.

A beautiful, carefully restored historic inn! The food at the restaurant was superb, delicious & beautifully presented. Staff at the restaurant was very friendly and accommodating. Location was fabulous, right along the Tred Avon river. It was wonderful to stay at such an historic location. Oxford is a lovely town

Seriously dated interior with peeling wallpaper -some of the light fixtures Including bathroom heat lamp did not work.

Location is great -beautiful view of the Tred Avon River in the cabin/cottage duplex. The British/American owners were awesome people.

Bathrooms could use updating, but were pristine despite age. A bit like staying at Grandmas house. Won't stop us coming again, tho.

Beautiful Inn with lovely atmosphere. Slept really well in great bed. Nice linens. Views of river and quiet of town were wonderful. A great escape from 2021 worries.

I expected more information in the lounge or in our room about the area and the history . the room got very hot . we had to open a window . the wait staff did not show up the first morning for breakfast so it was awkward but we were served . breakfast the next day was not as expected — continental instead of hot .

Loved the history of the Inn. The room and bathroom were small but quaint. Enjoyed using the large common room on the first floor to gather with friends and enjoy a card game and glass of wine. The Inn was right next door to the car ferry that took us over to another town for dinner and shopping. Saved us the time of driving all the way around the water.

I’ve never been to a bed and breakfast where by a limit was put on the breakfast ( $ 20 ) ….just thought it was a little strange …..to be charged a few extra dollars just because I wanted a second order of bacon was a little tacky . Otherwise , everything was exceptional !

We were expecting a very old/historic inn - so smaller size and aged infrastructure in the rooms was in line with what we anticipated…

Quiet, peaceful and incredibly picturesque location - our large group was also lucky to have most of the inn to ourselves during a midweek stay…. Fabulous breakfast outside on the terrace made our stay all the more enjoyable!
