Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThey gave us a room credit and we had 2 rooms but we used one credit card and just billed everything to one room and we had to argue to use the room credit as we paid everything on one card - they did not want to split the room charges even although it was clear we had all eaten together. They did eventually do it but wish they had explained it better at check in. The room credit was a bonus however as we had not been expecting it.
Hotel was in a good location but we were nervous of the many people around at night as we had kids. The room and restaurant was very good and the bar tender made great cocktails. It was a great base for travelling around.

AustraliaThe water machine in the gym was broken. A bit annoying to be working out without any water. But the staff gave me canned water whenever I asked for it, so it was not a major issue in the end.
Staff were amazing and always helpful with recommendations for food and activities. Always had a smile and happy vibe to start my mornings.

BelgiumThe only negative thing in our opinion was that there was no coffee maker in our room. Overall I can easily rate it 9/10.
In a very good location, close to The Broad and Walt Disney Concert Hall, very kind staff. Generally very nice design, cozy and comfortable, clean room.

SingaporeNo place to hang clothes in bathroom- would be good to have hooks or a towel hanging bar. There’s a floor to ceiling full length glass window exposing shower area to the bedroom so bedroom window curtains need to be drawn at all times due to proximity to opposite building. Ok for solo traveller but to warn group travellers about exposed shower area.
Location was excellent for exploring sights downtown. Spacious and comfortable room with high ceiling. Long table was very convenient. In-room Bluetooth speaker was excellent for playing music. Huge LED TV was a plus. Good mini fridge too. Diner at lobby was convenient for late meals. Hotel feels very safe for solo travellers.

PolandI did not like that on booking.com. website hotel didn't put information that deposit is 100 dollars each night, It was confusing and was thanking it's 100 dollars for the whole stay.
The room was clean and comfortable, and I love this open bathroom, perfect for couples. It was close to downtown and metro. We were enjoying our stay there.

United KingdomThe hotel is a bit outdated. I was with my partner so the shower window to the room didn't matter to us, but it could be awkward depending on who you travel with. I was expecting a better view from 12th floor.
The room is big and even though it is in the middle of Downtown it is very quiet on floor 12. DTLA is not a beautiful area but the location is convenient to do all attractions in the East.

United KingdomIt was a shame the rooftop pool was not available.
The hotel was in a good position for downtown attractions and was a walkable distance to the convention center. The hotel was also close to the 7th Street metro station for trips further afield. The hotel has an old-style look to it but it has all the modern conveniences required. It was useful having the bar and restaurant available.

United StatesThe light over the bed did not work. However, I did not have time to report it because I was busy traveling to and from the events that I was attending at a conference at a nearby hotel within walking distance.

United KingdomThe glass partition for the shower. Thought it was very open if you wasn’t sharing a room with your partner. Our bathroom would sometimes smell strongly of cannabis as if someone was smoking in their room. The area around I felt unsafe of a night as there was alot of homeless.
It’s very up to date and stylish. Restaurant is gorgeous too. Also very clean.
