The safe was out of battery, but we didn’t care enough to tell them to fix it. So not really an issue. The bathroom window couldn’t be locked, but again we didn’t care enough to tell the staff.

The poor noise levels. We can clearly hear other guests come and go, up and down the stars, and even just walking above our floor. This seems inevitable for older wood buildings. Fortunately, guests in the building seemed civil and courteous to not having made too much noise too late. We also find the price a bit pricey. But again, Newport is expensive during the peak summer months.

This B&B is cozy with well decorated rooms and common spaces. They are not extravagant but everything conveys a comfortable, "at-home" feeling. We especially like the courtyard which is tastefully landscaped with plants, a pond with Koi, comfortable chairs, tables and lounges which simply draw you to stay for a long time. The staff is professional, personable and makes you feel welcome.

Rooms were a little small, needed the have drawer space. Thin walls.

The beds were super confortable and staff was amazing. The breakfast was one of the best I've ever had at an Inn.

I stress it was never a problem for us however, the rooms in our building shared a thermostat. Could be an issue if two guests are way off on body temperature. Only in our building but the other ones are individually controlled.

Spacious room, beautifully decorated. The bathroom was equipped with everything we needed - even a hairdryer with an attachment for wavy hair. The breakfast was delicious and made to our needs (gluten free). The location was very convenient, about a 10 min walk to the Harbor with all its restaurants.

Breakfast finished at 10 which is early for us Europeans, but coffee was on offer and they offered snack even though we missed breakfast! Would be great if they would take dogs as well.

Great location near the Cliff Walk and reachable to the main town by car or walk . Decoration of the room and bathroom was very nice, fresh and inviting.

There was no back-up toilet paper rolls in the bathroom. Also I wasn't totally clear on where to go when we first entered the property at night or for breakfast in the morning. I do believe it was in a text I read too quickly so that may've been my fault.

The room was comfortable and I loved the private entrance. There was also a nice comfortable "shed" that was like a small lounge where we brought some wine and cheese and relaxed before going out to dinner. The entire area with the small fountain was as pretty as it was in the photos. Breakfast was in a dining room with multiple tables like a small restaurant. I would definitely recommend Town and Tide Inn.

very few complaints. main house is on busy street so pretty noisy in the morning. we got up early enough, but would be hard to sleep in. there was a cute shed for lounging, but someone was smoking a cigar which was disappointing.

very clean and tastefully decorated. the bathroom was a good size, huge shower. on the top floor just simply leaving the windows open kept the room surprisingly cool. great location to walk to wharfs and cliff walk. delicious breakfast and the host gave great tips for our stay.
