Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

Czech RepublicPlace would use renovation, all electric plugs were not solid and was easy to take them out of wall. Carpet was smelly, room dark and we got top of it loud neighbours, even if all of us should sign be quite.
Location was OK, easy walk distance to pier section. Parking lot was sky opened, so no worries about high of the car. Vending machine was available on parking lot.

United StatesThe management is hyper vigilant and prefers to instruct guests with firmness and condolence. Relax your ego and make your stay enjoyable by realizing he is not attempting to be offensive. Local homeless people eye such motels for opportunities. I learned that the ice machine which is outside the building is an attraction to the homeless. otherwise it’s quite safe and the location and price can’t be beat.
The location and price are what would attract a budget minded travels. Union Street and the Marina are a few blocks away. Many restaurants and bars and a cannabis dispensary are minutes away.

the price drew me in to the booking at townhouse motel. I was skeptical because the motel was about six blocks closer to van ness than my favorite Lombard street motel; but half the price. while it is true that there is nothing fancy about townhouse motel, the staff was very accommodating to my family. the beds were comfortable the shower had lots of hot water and excellent water pressure and it was amazingly quiet for being right on Lombard (truck route, freeway onramp, Golden Gate Bridge approach). if we had rented a car this place has parking and would have been perfect. as we did not rent a car, we ended up having to walk a few blocks for a bus or call a taxi. great maid service, and we like staying in the marina district, very family friendly.

United StatesIt’s located in a great spot. Lombard St is a very nice street in San Francisco. The owner was very nice. The room might need a bit of a face lift but it was cleaned everyday. It was ok for the price. The location was good enough for me. I was not in the room the whole day. I just was happy to have a private bathroom to shower when I got back at night and a clean room with clean towels and a clean bed. It’s close to restaurants, laundromat, bus service, fisherman’s wharf and many other tourist areas. Would stay there again.

United StatesThe room was kinda musty and rundown (a broken drawer here, a torn lampshade there). Thin blankets, thin towels, thin walls - at 4am I could literally hear the occupant in the next room roll out of bed, put up the toilet seat, do their business, wash their hands (not long enough, IMHO), and roll back into bed.
The man who checked me in was very nice. San Francisco is super pricey and this place helped make the trip doable... Could be okay if you'll be out and about in the City all day long and literally just need a functional place to sleep. In terms of location, there's not much nearby, though Chico's pizza is up the road and Starbucks is about 4 blocks away on Union, where you'll find shops, banks, eateries. Parking is included, which is clutch in SF.
