I requested an early check-in at 2p. The staff was unaware at the time we arrived, but did notice the request on the reservation once I mentioned it. I was told the room would be ready by 2:30p but we still waited until 4p which was the actual check-in time. I understand it was only a request but it would have been nice to know the room wasn’t ready. We were standing around and waiting in the lobby. We eventually wandered off to the pool and had a drink which made it easier to wait.

The location of the property was excellent. We were able to walk everywhere with the kids. It was convenient. There was a specific area at the pool for the children. The food was great although you had to order and seat yourself at the restaurant. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Ocean view was not as expected. Beach was far in the distance on the other side of a parking lot and blocked by trees. Very difficult to find poolside space as guests reserved beach chairs with towels and one hour time limit for removal of towels for abandoned unoccupied chairs not enforced.

Great location. Some of the best snorkeling in Maui in front of the hotel. Whale watching from the beach every morning and just before sunset. Great to have access to outdoor BBQs to cook dinner. Kitchenette’s in villas were well stocked with pots and pans and dishes.

I was very disappointed in the service. We stayed there a week and never had anyone clean her room or change our linens. We even had to go in search of soap and toilet paper and the cleaning lady was really grouchy. A lot of the restaurants around there had closed including the one in the hotel.

It was a nice resort on a quiet spot of the ocean And the room that we had was very nice.

The check in on Saturday was stressful.. rooms weren’t ready until after 6:00 even after arriving at 11:00 for pre check in.. however; the staff was accommodating giving us a room credit.. We preordered cabanas before arriving.. if we hadn’t done so , finding lounge chairs would have been impossible since groups woke up early to claim chairs with towels..

The service at the pool areas was very good.. The rooms had been nicely refreshed since our last visit .. The bell/valet service was very good as always..

The resort was great! No complaints.

The location was great and the staff were friendly. We had a late flight back and the resort has a lounge to use for those who have checked out and are waiting for their flight. It was nice to swim and chill after checking out. You even have locker room access to shower and clean up before you leave.

It was disappointing to find some restaurants closed and some facilities not available due to COVID. I didn’t like the option of not having house cleaning. I have a hard time not having a clean room. I would have even appreciated if we could have a vacuum, mop and cleaning supplies so that I could clean on my own

The competition of lounge chairs was unacceptable. A full hotel with 50% of outdoor lounge chairs means you have to be up before 6 and get to a chair. Then staff tickets you for not being in it all the time.

You (Booking) should never sell rooms at properties under construction for renovations. It was horrible, 7am-8pm Monday through Saturday. It was our 25th wedding anniversary present to ourselves with a Ocean view room. I've always trusted your services, and you can tell by my booking, but this was a big miss. I will NEVER stay at a Westin again and I'm going to complain to Bonvoy (Marriott) as well. They should do better are a premiere brand.

I was so disappointed in Booking as well as Westin because the property was under construction and no one told us. I spent over $4k on the room (ocean view that was not ocean view) and the biggest issue, we had to deal with noisy construction all week. When I talked to the manager she gave us $100 off our room, just $100 for the whole week ... big whoop. I would have canceled my reservation and booked somewhere else. Really poor experience and very upsetting.

Housekeeping would have been nice…coffee in the lobby…better poolside service… no charge to be set up in the beach

Didn’t like the restaurant.. no table service and uninspired location and seating.. staff were not especially friendly other than one concierge named Stephanie… hated that we had to get up before 7 to get a chaise at the pool and pay $80.00 for a beach chair that wasn’t even comfortable… very poor amenities… I didn’t realize it was a time share place and not more of a hotel…. I like more pampering.. especially at a ridiculous rate of over $800 a night
