Very special and unique place with a beautiful garden and lots of art and charm. The house is very well located and only a ten minute walk from the ferry. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Very stylish and great location. The room was large and very comfortable. Fred was extremely helpful and has a lovely eye for decoration and the kind of details that make you feel right at home. He was flexible and responded fast to any queries we had.

We had an issue with getting in to the property. Not a major issue as we went to a nearby cafe and managed to make contact with Fred. Worth making sure you clearly communicate expected time of arrival to ensure check in is smooth!!

Great location for us - short walk into the centro histórico and also a short walk to ferry (and bus) terminal. Quirky place - stylish in an eclectic way. The room was spacious and facilities good (kettle, fridge etc). Great use of recycled materials (which we liked but might not be to everyone’s taste as it gave it a very rustic / unsophisticated feel)

We stayed in the Juan Miroroom for 3 nights. It’s a lovely comfortable space with nice sitting areas, a small kitchenette, and a modern bathroom. We liked the Miro reproductions on the walls, as well as some of the owners own paintings.

Fred was a wonderful host. Our bungalow was private and quiet. The kitchenette was perfect for preparing breakfast, and we could use the main kitchen for dinner.

While traveling, certain places really stand out and this is one of them - for both the beautiful home and the welcoming host, Fred. He checked in with us a few days ahead and sent all sorts of useful information on things to see and places to eat. Fred has lovingly created interesting, comfortable and beautiful accommodations just a short walk from the Old Town of Colonia. He has paid much attention to detail, both artistically and functionally. There is a beautiful little garden to relax in, a library filled with books and art pieces everywhere. We spent a lot of time just looking around our room at all the delightful art work. We couldn't have enjoyed our stay more.

We liked everything

The owner, Fred, was incredible. He helped us with everything. We arrived late at night and could not get pesos and he paid our taxi and stayed late to greet us. He gave us wonderful recommendations and made our stay a pleasure. The facility is absolutely lovely and homey. We felt we could have lived there happily.

Lovely calm quiet artistic property with charming small garden in central location close to shops and restaurants. The room we had was spacious clean and comfortable. a communal kitchen area was useful for breakfast and cooking something if we didn’t want to go out. Highly recommended. Loved the art.
