Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesRoom was generally clean, but the sheets sometimes have a few stains. Not really in a tourist section, though Tashkent is hardly a tourist destination as it is.
Quiet B&B located ~.5 mile from the nearest metro station. Courteous staff/family who were able to check me in when I arrived around 4AM and let me leave my bags and hang around after I checked out while I waited for an evening train ride. Breakfast was modest but good.

SwedenThis guesthouse was one of the first budget accommodation in Tashkent and I stayed here already during my first visit over 10 years ago . Not much has changed since then, guesthouse is run by a welcoming family, rooms are very clean, good WiFi, quite comfortable bed, average breakfast served in the morning . I like the location slightly outside of the centre but near a Metro Station with easy access to everywhere in the city including the railway station. Plenty of restaurants and shops nearby.

IsraelThe bathroom might need some renovation, but was absolutely clean. The bed was a bit hard and it was more two beds put together than a double bed, so there was a small gap in the middle.
The room and bathroom were very clean and had everything that is needed for a comfortable stay. The personal prepared everyday a lovely breakfast with fresh bread, jam, some sweets and fresh fruits that was a perfect start in the day. From the hotel to the metro, it is only a five minute walk, so the fact that it is not located in the very center of Tashkent is not a problem at all as one can get to any desired place easily by the metro.

RussiaFree Wi-Fi was OK, but sometimes worked with interruptions.
The place is located in the walking distance from the metro station and very accessible by taxi. It's a true B&B place. My room was clean and cozy with a private bathroom. The breakfast was good and the dishes were not the same from day to day. They let me leave my luggage for the daytime on the property after checkout. I forgot to ask them to arrange my temporary registration (for the duration of stay) during check-in, but they arranged it themselves and passed the completed form to me upon checkout. Maybe they were required to do so, but I was still pleased that they arranged this necessary service for me without being asked.

SloveniaEverything was fine.
Friendly and helpful owners. Room was nice and clean and breakfast very good. We found location also very good; walking distance to Tinchlik metro station, one stop to Chorsu bazaar, 5 stops to Kozmonavtlar station and 6 stops to Tashkent station (=main train station). House is situated in a quiet side-street, but around Tinchlik metro station there are several shops and supermarkets.

CanadaBreakfast was very simple (bread, tea, jam, fruits, omelet). The family lives in the same building. There was sometimes noise very early in the morning in the courtyard.
The family who runs the B&B is kind and helpful. Location is good (10-15 min by walk to Chorsu Bazaar). The room was clean.

GermanyYou don't get a key for the main door, so you always need to ring the bell. It's not a problem (and obviously their choice) - but I always felt I was disturbing them unnecessarily.
A basic place, but fine unless you are looking for luxury. Within walking distance from a metro station. There are very good shashlik restaurants on the opposite side of the main road (no English spoken, though). Would be happy to return if in Tashkent again.
