The property is nice but I expected more for the amount we paid. I also didn’t realise the shower was in the bathroom so maybe this should be specified. The room that friends stayed in for a bit extra had a huge shower, double vanity and jacuzzi on their patio which I wish I’d known because I would have booked that too. The water in the jacuzzi on the common property was very cold and couldn’t be used.

Good location as we had a wedding across the road. Linda was a very accommodating host. Clean bedding, towels, rooms. Comfortable place to stay.

Bathroom door lock was broken. But it was such a minor thing, it didn't detract from the overall experience.

The grounds (gardens and breakfast area) need to be a bit more kept up as I can see it needs a bit of TLC compared to social media and their picture uploaded. However the garden lawns were lovely and green. Rooms a tiny bit dated but still comfy ;) Only one small plate of fruit and coupe of jogurt for a couple to share as part of the breakfast, however on the breakfast menu it stated items per person. Therefore each person should have received a plate of fruit with yogurt. as part of the breakfast menu. Our friends had a surprise wake up call when a maintenance person was on their cottage roof to do maintenance at 08:30 the Saturday morning (no one informed us in advance about this).

Perfect location for where we needed to be. Rooms were lovely with crisp white bedding and towels. Nice swimming pool to cool down on the Saturday ;)

The cottage was comfortable but quite awkward in that one couple had to pass through both the kitchen/sitting room and the other couple's bedroom to get out of the cottage. The garden was unkempt but there had been recent heavy rain.

We went thru Bains kloof to get there and the views were spectacular as were the mountains around 5 Mountain Lodge. We were welcomed by Rowen and he looked after all our needs. He is outstanding. We had an excellent dinner and breakfast, both of which were value for money.

Beautiful, peaceful setting. Cottages tastefully decorated and spacious. Staff welcoming and attention to us as guests impeccable - ensuring we have everything we need and even ensuring our hotub stays warm while we were in town. Laying in hotub looking out onto lovely garden, listening to nature was a highlight of our stay.

I live the peace and quiet of the place and therefore have gone back again. The fact that Rowan the manager interacts so well with you, makes it even much better. It is never too much for him to check on places to visit, foods to order, set up of your cabin...it is all in a days work. Love it

Security light in the parking lot shines in through the window above your head which makes going to sleep difficult (We were in Tulip - the 2 bed cottage). You enter straight into the main bedroom and so you always have to walk through the main bedroom to get to the living area and then to the 2nd bedroom. The living area is dark and dingy with very univiting furniture - nothing matches in the living room - everything is hotch potch. It also only has one very high window so at any time of day you always need to put the light on. The fridge door needs to be switched around as currently you need to shut the door to the main bedroom in order to open the fridge door - very weird setup. The photos are deceptive - it looks like you have a view to the garden when you are on the patio but in actual fact you are smack bang in a parking lot. There is no rubbish bin anywhere in the cottage - so weird. They only have a rubbish bin on the outside patio.

The whole property felt tired and not well kept. Garden was not neat, ponds were half empty and dirty. lights placed in the gardens did not work. The Duvet was clean but stained and off putting. Bathroom fittings were old and some broken or having loose bits. There was a generator but it had not been working for a week or more so load shedding was a real inconvenience with no Wi-Fi or TV for most of the time we were at the place.

The location was 5mins drive away from the wedding venue we were attending for the weekend. The room size was generous. The bed was comfortable The aircon was effective even though it was oddly positioned low to the floor. The welcome was warm and friendly.
